What i don’t like is them dropping these good ideas after one gen. Also i would kill for some real freedom in these games. I like the base experience but having played since Yellow I’d like to be able to experience the pokemon world without rails.

This. GF wastes so many resources on things they ultimately drop. The games have been rushed af lately too, which definitely do not help.

The open world design is a bit tricky to pull off (See Johto), but with a bit of careful level design and gym leaders’ levels scaling depending on how many badges you have, it might work…

Well, I hope so. Gonna need to get that shit on point if I ever finish those hacks I’ve been cooking.

@FlyingVe Shining force is the greatest game I’ve played when I was a kid. I’m so mad that they made all the stupid shining spinoff games that nobody cares about and not making shining force 4!

And Camelot is spending all their time now on Mario Golf and Mario Tennis. Urgh.

I’ve almost bought shining force 3 a few times, but it’s not cheap and that’s a tough sell since I didn’t really know much about the series.

How’s the difficulty for FE: 3 Houses??

If you are at all acquainted with turn based strategy games just start on hard(hard is still a bit easy for me though, lunatic difficulty is getting patched in as free dlc).

If its your first FE ever though, play on normal because there’s a lot of stuff going on under the hood you might not know about.
