E3 has been pretty trash this year. Looks like sony made the right move to skip this year.

Now I’m even more hype for Evo. Mainly for the announcement. But it’d be nice for punk to redeem himself after getting bopped by tokido that time in finals. Good to see y’all still grinding SF I need to quit fucking around and get back in it.

Sony probably had little to show just like everyone else. They made a safe choice and decided to not show up at all so that, in case Microsoft actually had something good, they wouldn’t have looked bad.

As it turns out, Microsoft had nothing to show off too this year.

My favorite E3 conferences were the Square Enix and Ubisoft one.

Anyway with regards to lag when mashing, is this unique to sf5?

Yeah I actually appreciate Sony going that route and preparing some big news for next gen. The door was wide open for Microsoft to absolutely dominate this year and they half assed it again.

Nintendo is making me want a switch but idk.

I dunno, there’s been some good announcements, and Microsoft has some good games.

But the lack of gameplay demos on stage, and lack of “bombshells” makes it feel weaker than it really was.

Square and Ubi were the best because they still has those gameplay demos. I’m not into WatchDogs Legion, but I respect the extended demo making it clear what that is.

Square was best for me on FF7 remake alone. I gave zero shits about that Avengers game. I think it’s too hard to make a truly fantastic Avengers game without diluting the gameplay of each avenger or the story. We’ll see.

The one thing that really bothers me is, that it’s FFVII.

So my main problems with FFVII were:

  • Boring one dimensional protagonist, edgy would be a huge understatement
  • A bland Mamas boy villian, who wants to destroy the World, cause his mother is an alien.
  • Sephiroths Themen being absolut cancer after the first loop, cause you just hear Sephiroth every 4 seconds. Take a note from Dancing Mad here, thats how you make a final boss theme. (Also check the FFXIV remix out, it’s even more godlike)
  • Side characters are pretty flat, Tifa is best girl and alongside Yuffie, the only character I liked. Hope her Outfit from the Movie (the one she also had in KH2) will be aviable. Cid was also pretty good, but thats because it was freaking Cid.
  • The overarching story was extremly boring and lackluster, Sephiroth never felt like he deserved to be the final boss.
  • Highwind is a stupid name for an airship.
  • The Superbosses were not good.
  • Most bosses were not good.
  • Limit breaks while a nice idea, were ultimately just flashier Special attacks that had been in FFVI already and there they broke the gameflow less.

The Remake looks just like they took FFXV gameplay and put a FFVII coat on it, now FFXV Combat, was in no way perfect, but it might be the best fit for FFVII. Now some of my problems might get fixed, but my biggest problem (Cloud) will stay and will probably be even more of a edgy emo, than he was before.

Then again it’s a FF game, so I will buy it anyway, I just really hope they’re capable to make me enjoy this game more than the Original. The Original is (alongside FFX) the only FF game that I finished once and then never botherd to make another playtrough. Also they improved on Tifas Monk Moves, think I spotted a Tornado Kick even. Neat.

Lets see if Square surprises me this time.
