SFV Lounge: I'm still alive. Sakura's alt is kinda cute

We need a dream match year for SF with grooves.

SF4 was dream matchy but need them grooves. Give me an EX groove too. Meter unblockable and super cancels.

Wonder how he would react to Amanes Chip Damage.

mvci had an uphill battle from the very beginning.
Having the DLC chars as part of its roster perhaps would have helped to alleviate the roster complains.
But we would still have all the other issues that made it tank; ugly graphics, sound, music, etc, no xmen, “recycled” chars, less chars than mvc3, no 3vs3 for some people, and many other things.
The game was doomed from the start.

It would be hype if the next SF did something like that.
Have multiple grooves/isms that reflect SF history.

It will probably be a nightmare to balance, but who cares if the game is fun.
They could also get away with having a small roster at the start if the different grooves also changed some properties of the characters moveset.
Like SF2 ryu does more damage over all, while trading not having ex moves, and he also gains cHK into hadouken, while other versions may or may not have it.

It could be an interesting take on the variation system of other games.
Since while in theory you have mostly the same move set across the board for each character, their gameplay can be affected substantialy due properties and mechanics.

My only concern is that i know that capcom will find a way to fuck that up and underdeliver, lol

SF2 Ryu with special cancellable sweep.

That’s be dope. All we gotta do now is rip SF5 assets, learn to code, convince people to make models for new characters, come up with all the balancing decisions and we have a game.

And that is why i am doing that hentai game on UE4 for my friend, lol.
Right now we are working on the stuff needed to be able to put any model (with some tweaks of course) from any game to be used on the hentai scenes.

That stuff will come handy for the 3d mugen i am working (at snail pace) on

As long as Rose is there I’m good.

Street Fighter Dream Match with every available ability from SF1 to SFV would be just godly. Would you sacrifice walk speed and combos for 60 percent life SRKs? Should be 3v3 too!

But I’m dreaming. I doubt that will ever happen.

But she isn’t blonde? You branching out fam? :smirk:

Lol you definitely aren’t getting 60% SRKs. ST groove would be one bar thats level 2 damage, 10% more damage on normals, and who knows what else. Random characters would get their holds back like ken, gief, honda etc.

SF4 groove could get EX moves, focus attacks and FADCs.

Alpha 2 gets you super short CCs, and leveled supers.

3S gets parries, universal overhead, hmm…

I dont know. Gonna have to think about it some more.

Alpha 1 would lose CCs and gain chain combos.

It’s easier to mess with the data for SFV.

Hmmm…

One groove per series would work. Making SF5 groove the roughest. Probably something goofy like you get infinite EX moves for 10 seconds or some other silliness.

Now that I think about it, SF4 meter should just be the revenge bar. Maybe make v-trigger meter the shortest.

ST groove gives you an over all increase of 10% to 20% on damage.
You gain access to special cancels that are not available in other versions
Increase of 20% or maybe 30% on the walk speed.
You dont have access to f. dash and b.dash
Your throws are untechable.
You dont have ex moves

Alpha Groove 1
You get access to the 3 level super meter and 3 level of strenghts on the supers
You have multiple supers at the same time
Alpha Counters
You have access to chains and blocking in the air
Any fireball gets damage decrease as they travel on the screen, like they did on alpha games
You dont have ex moves
You dont have f.dash or b.dash
you get increase of 10% or 20% on walk speed
Guard bar, as an offset of being able to block in the air

Alpha Groove 3
You get access to the CC bar
You have one super
Limmited CC
Alpha counters
You have access to chains and blocking in the air
Any fireball gets damage decrease as they travel on the screen, like they did on alpha games
You dont have ex moves
You dont have f.dash or b.dash
you get increase of 10% or 20% on walk speed
Guard bar, as an offset of being able to block in the air

3s groove
Is missing, since 3s is trash and should be forgotten
Jokes aside.
Ex moves
You select your super at the beginning of the round
Parries
Universal overhead
F dash and B dash
Your throws are techable

SF4
Ex moves
Focus Attack
You can choose 1 super for your super and 1 Super for your ultra.
Alpha Counters
F dash and B dash
Your throws are techable

SFV
Ex moves
Vtriggers
Alpha counters
You can choose 1 super
Your throws are techable

Universal Mechanics.
Every normal has crush counters, lul

Yeah but each Alpha game played different. SFA1 had chain combos and ST damage. It played very differently than A2 or A3.

I want SF1 Groove. @Pertho

And there are a lot of differences between 2i and 3S, doesn’t mean we need a 2i Groove. It’d be like having a CE Groove and an ST groove. It’d be better to make a groove representative of the whole series than one for each individual entry in it.

The tricky dicky part is that one of the coolest and important features of CvS2 was how wildly different the meters were, the changes to the way you gained them and more importantly the big changes to movement options. A few of the grooves had different recovery options too.

Dashes should probably be in 3S, SF4 and SF5 grooves and the other ones have the increased walkspeed. SF4 can keep like, 5 frames of invincible backdashes just because.

CCs would be silly though, but getting CCs that lead to more meter gain would be cool. Would make it the frame trappy groove so you can build up super and play more aggressive.

That’s a reminder that SFV Akuma is bad tho.

God damn, this is the proudest I’ve ever been of my island home ever. The Brazillian and Mexican homies are the ones that can relate to living under a government that is blatantly corrupt. Seeing the whole of my homeland just get together and peacefully protest is amazing.

That is a damn good feeling, yeah.
The whole population saying “Fuck this, get out of there you bunch of corrupt wankers” is a sight to behold.

A pity that Brazilian are short sighted and immediately voted for new corrupt politicians on the next election.
