Tenderloin’s awful though

Why not just have a burger or something

Um… Its literally the best cut of steak you can buy.

With honorable mentions to Ribeye, and prime rib (which come from the same part of the animal anyways).

Burgers are good though.

No such thing. Steak is some of the worst meat I’ve ever had, next to bacon

Give me some sausages or a burger well done

You’re weird.

At the risk of being mean.

Can you cook? Typically, that kind of statement is indicative that you haven’t had steak done correctly. If steak is done badly its dry and flavor-less (except maybe tenderloin which you basically just have to warm up a bit).

I can, I make my own burgers sometimes.

I don’t make steak though, that’s from when my folks used to make it. I just hate meat that’s tough to chew through. I like soft and well done.

Unless there’s a soft steak I’m not aware of or something

So you don’t like bacon and steak. You ain’t ever have a good steak then. We hit a tourney we’re going to a steakhouse, my treat.

That’s the three cuts I mentioned.

With the caveat that they are prepared well. Steak (a good cut anyways) takes a bit more respect than other meat. With something cheaper like a flank steak, the whole approach is different. Those I usually heavily marinate, and bake in the oven, rather than bake on the grill.

You can practically eat good tenderloin raw btw its… tender?

I also make a killer hamburger. Burgers are underrated, they are delicious and there is alot you can do to level them up.

Edit: Typically well done =/= soft. You probably want medium rare. I like my meat pretty freaking rare, but that isn’t for everyone, and you may find it a bit chewy.

Where you goin’

I plan on going to Final Round next year, alongside the usual Combo Breaker, CEO and EVO trio

Been swamped this year but I’m trying to hit every major next year. :+1:t5:

Don’t waste your time, your energy and your good will on that.
Coolkid is a good man, his wife is the devil incarnated and she has him by the balls.
It is not worth the drama and energy.

Well, I will try to make it out to Combo Breaker next year.

We can split the, “feed @Akhos” budget a bit. I can call some people and find out where the good steakhouses are. If that fails, Ruth’s Chris is always really good.

Akhos birthday gift should’ve been a gift card to a good steak house. Steak is fucking amazing.

Yeah, no offense but you’ve been eating shoe soles and being told they’re steak.

Medium-rare or bust.

It depends alot on the cut and how its prepared.

Medium rare isn’t always appropriate.

I’d elaborate but food had always been my achilles heel in English.

Talking about the most common cut. Not anything fancy.

Well, with the common good steaks my recommendations:

Filet - Rare
Prime Rib - Rare
Ribeye - medium Rare

Other cuts it depends on the preparation, but usually medium rare is typically a good spot. A good example of one you want to cook more is a burger. If you buy mediocre ground beef, you probably want it medium. If you buy better ground beef, then you can cook it like a steak and leave it medium rare.

I think I just got my term wrong, I like my steak more cooked but not to that extent I guess…my folks never said how cooked it was, just “make sure there’s no red left”

Nah I’ll pay for it all
