I think we can all agree that the FF13 trilogy are the worst games in the entire series

XII is still a great game imo, and now with the Zodiac Age is a nice time to get into it again.

Yeaaaaah, not convinced these textures are that good.
That’s kinda what I mean, there are some truly good parts of that game (unlike 13 which is mostly meh the whole runtime).
But there’s some egregiously bad parts too, and the whole thing never really come together.
Agree, which is why i decided to enjoy the game for what it was and not putting to much mind into its weak points.
If you treat the game as a Bahelor party road trip between friends who also kill monsters in the way, lol
Because believe me, i still mourn the lose of FF XIII Versus.

I always got the impression vs13 was never really as much of a real game as it had become in the minds of the fans.
I don’t envy square. They either cancel the mess and start over, or try and salvage a game out of the wreckage and recoup something.
They tried the second option. I don’t think it fully worked, but I still like a lot of what we got.
XII is one of those games I liked more the 2nd and 3rd time through.
When you go into it knowing what it is, you’re mind is more willing to meet it on its own terms rather than trying to force it to be like the previous games.
I still think it’s weaker than 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, & 10; but it’s still a fantastic game and well worth playing.
Zodiac age is also a massive improvement, even if only for the fast forward.
12 gets dragged down by it’s gameplay sadly.
The story is amazing, probably top 3 in FF series.
Smash is likely to be the main game at EVO, the last NRS game is kinda decent, SamSho is popular, Bigtochiro will soon catch up with the thread…

Nah, Smash being the highlight of EVO is a sign that the FGC will soon be saved 
The real problem was mostly 2 things imo.
Square wasted a lot of the time involved with the project in making their own engine that in the end didnt pan out for them.
Notice how once they finally moved their projects into UE4 they finally came into fruition.
2nd, that they streched out Nomura into multiple projects.
And in the end FFXIII Vs suffered for it (and KH3 to some extent)
