the problem is that his definition of fucking up is “anything and everything I’m doing is inherently wrong.” Can’t get him to actually work on the stuff he is messing up on if we can’t get him to see what he is doing well already.

You can learn just as much from victory as defeat.
This reminds me of an anecdote. I used to like watching StarCraft 2 (because, of course, I am a nerd). One of the famous casters, Day9, used to cut off matches before they finished. This was because when you are analyzing or trying to learn things, the player that won or lost was much less important that what happened in the game (among other things).

It’s not that I disagree with you, otherwise I wouldn’t have posted like, 30 posts saying the same thing, but I think he also needs some flaw to actually work on correcting or else everything is kinda moot.
Obviously I can’t really help anyone with that and you played him, so I’m asking for your opinion.

Also, I got UNIST for shits and gigs last week cause it was $10 and dear god this is the loudest game I have ever played. Had to turn everything down to 60% to not get blasted out by anime hair metal guitars

LOL… Yeah, that’s the small dev game struggle. Their team is literally a handful of guys trying to make the game. I played the beta and enjoyed it for what it was but these kind of problems are expected.
