SFV Lounge: I'm still alive. Sakura's alt is kinda cute

Imagine taking anything said by Eventhubs seriously

So Blazblue and Soul Calibur are the only ones that are under a thousand.

I prefer focusing on the fact that DBFZ is still getting bitchslapped by UNISTT

Blackbeard games on. Playing against Mishima master Devil Gene right now.

Edit: I’m not there tho, not feeling well today.

Word.
It’s amazing that what was seen as nothing but a Discord Anime Poverty game a year ago not only raised a scene that actually managed to clinch an Evo main stage slot but also got over 1k entrants.

True, but I’m not amazed by how much EVO has grown.

I wasn’t that long ago when only the top 2/3 games would break 1,000, and even then usually not by much.

Not to mention a game, people in here still discard as a bad anime game.

A game they have little knowledge of that just doesn’t get love from here, cause it wasn’t a thing back in the 90s.

so FighterZ broke 1000 people

okay, I guess that raises its chances at EVO reappearance next year, although its support by the publisher and the developer is HIGHLY up in the air considering how the game has been treated this year so far

SCVI looks so good to me and I really want to play it but it just doesn’t seem to have anyone repping it. There’s a couple guys that like it at my locals and usually one set-up for it, but everyone is all about Tekken and (lowkey) UNIST

UNIST has pull because it’s one of the games where American doesn’t feel like it gets rekt by Japan on a consistent basis.

Discord is fairly active. I’m sure you can get some matches if you’re in NA.

fighterz is a good example of the less patch mentality hurts. They said they were only doing the one patch this year and the thing people want the most is a patch because the strong characters are overwhelming (bardock, kid goku) and NOBODY is happy with the snapback meta.

1 balance revision a year sucks asssss. Its not about adapting at this point, people are just falling off the game cause they are sick of dealing with that crap.

To add to that, adjustments to SD, Vanish, and Raw tag have been asked for by basically everyone, but nothing has been done.

Really, not much has been done with the game since January, which many thought was the beginning of the road, not the end.

I think the reason people don’t play SC6 all that much is cause its actually got a lot of shit to learn, even more than you’d think at first look. You gotta know if the combos you’re getting hit by are real due to air control, you gotta know if you’re teching the right way on ground recovery and how to avoid fucked up oki, and even after all that you can still eat shit with heavy combos that either do a dickload of damage or could just ring you out. It’s a hardass game.

The only reason people feel this way is because Japan hasn’t sent their best yet. Clearlamp and go1 might as well be Vegeta and Nappa compared to the Frieza tier players that are Oshuhitto, Kure, Notes, etc

To be fair, it’s less only a patch/year and more “maybe they should have a beta period between the World Tour seasons.”

Mid-season patches are janky as all hell, but some period of flexibility between seasons is good.

Hey guys, is there any harm in giving strangers your IP address? If so, what could potentially be done with it?

Let me know when they make Beerus top tier and I’ll try it again

Um…

That doesn’t sound like a good idea. But I’m sure the IT people can add more.

He’s mid tier now, the problem is it’s top tier or die at the moment.

The whole top tier need to come down a solid notch.

Yeah, it doesn’t sound like a good idea to me either, but am curious.

It seems like the only way to play MVC2 online on PC is to find someone on Discord and disclose IPs. It’s likely that the other person is there for the same reason as you, but people are nuts. I’d hate to beat someone (however unlikely) and have them get salty and nuke my computer. Or, even worse, meet someone who has no intention of playing MVC2 to begin with.
