shantae good
Shantae is always good.
Yo Teppen is actually really good. I just did a big binge of it and the real time stuff totally makes the game super fun.
Its fun, but if feels pretty shallow.
It also has alot of the bad habits that Hearthstone has.
If you think it shallow then you ain’t playing the right deck. I am playing Morrigan Halt/Flight control and it makes the real time stuff matter so so so so much. Makes me feel like a big smart man playing it.
Game isn’t shallowat all its all pretty deep and the 1st card game where timing is really important. Timing outside know when to play something and more along the lines of reaction time.
the most shallow character is probably ryu and even then he play like you’d think a ryu would. There some really cheesy decks and countering and timing is really important.
I’ve been playing all day, I’ve gotten most of the cards outside of the legendarys. Hopefully they keep at it , I really like it.
It’s like a fighting game of card games, which is fitting enough I guess.
Appropriate:
Just got paid

So how does that game work anyway? I watched a bit of kbrad’s stram yesterday and all I got was that you can place cards on your slots, enemy slots or the giant circle in the middle
Is Bison in the game in any way?
He’s in the intro but apparently you can’t pull him just yet
Is Juri in the new card game ? Gouken ?
think of it like a mix between hearthstone and clash royale.
3 lanes. You plop a dude in a lane and an arrow fills until it hits the enemy. If they have a creature in a lane, then they hit each other when the arrow fills instead. Thats the basic part of it.
Each creature can have all sorts of abilities, in magic/hearthstone terms, stuff like flying, divine shield, hexproof, haste(bar builds faster) etc etc.
You have all sorts of instants/sorceries that can affect the gamefield, from basic stuff like deal damage / heal creatures / buff creatures to more game specific stuff like slowing/halting enemies attack progress and all points in between.
Certain characters/decks are more straightforward, like Ryu is just big creatures/direct damage spells (gadouken/hadouken/shinkuu hadouken etc), chunli is all about creature buffing and management, morrigan is about screen control, wesker can make a dredge deck etc etc.
4 colours, each colour kinda stands for a different thing
Red (Ryu/Rathalos) - seems to be just big creatures / direct damage and face beating
Green (Chun li/Mega man) - Creature buffs/debuffs, survivability, healing?
Purple (Morrigan/Dante) - Control features, really heavy on combat tricks, nonstandard combat style
Black (Wesker/Nergigante) - graveyard manipulation, health management as a resource
really basic description
you can also mix/match colours to a limited degree, but I don’t understand that too well right now.
Basically all of this.
The mixing of color reduces the total mp you can generate.
I think instead of 9 or 10 it’s like 5 .
So if you playing multicolored deck don’t expect any 6 or more cost characters to be in the deck. I don’t even think the game allows you to put them in the deck to manipulate to potentially pull.
