This is a spot near where I am. It’s like I’m at that spot right between the suburbs and the sticks
I got all that nice forest behind me but then I’m still within walking distance of a bunch of fast food joints and shopping centers and just a 5 minute drive from the city

its great being able to get anywhere you want with no fuss, but I could stand to be closer to somewhere of significance.
Does anyone here know anything about lights? Specifically how to get rid of that yellow tinge?

Yeah that’s why im asking.
I usually have to edit it out but really i would prefer a brighter/cleaner light anyway. The ambient yellow makes it harder for me to accurately pick colors for when I draw.
Natural light is the best but that doesn’t help me at night
You need to adjust the white balance for the scene.
The person taking the picture should do it to suit the lighting conditions.
Flash
Fluorescent
Sunlight
Tungsten
Etc.
Nah, I just basically never spend money on myself, so I spend it on other people instead

Guess it depends on your definition of “significance”
Our brain and eyes automatically White balance themselves. I.e they make the whitest thing around us the ‘default white’ for that scene.
Photos and CCDs/CMOS need us to tell them what should be white in the scene.

And that depends on your perspective of insignificant.
Nearest places are St Louis and Nashville, at between 2,5 & 3.5 hours each.
I don’t think there’s really anything significant anywhere in upstate NY
Think I’m a 3 hour drive away from NYC but my work schedule doesn’t allow for that
The other day I had a Hawaiian pizza, the one wih with pineapples, and it was pretty good. The sweetness from the pineapple compliments the other ingredients

I have a client in rural NY, down on the Pennsylvania Border, (Olean NY/Bradford PA), so I’m up there once a year.
That’s about all I know though.
