I always answer simple technical questions without being hostile. If the person acts entitled or particularly full of themselves I might smack them down a bit afterwards.
I mean you can barely answer simple questions without talking about how your degree is relevant to the answer that is forthcoming.

I wasn’t around when it happened but I just read it, and honestly, I feel like he wanted order in the thread.
I suspect he was basically giving the mods an ultimatum, “ban him or i’ll leave”, but instead he gave the power to cipher to determine his fate, which, obviously wasn’t the smartest move… Unless he was pretty sick of the thread anyway and just wanted an excuse.
