See, for me it has less to do with whether it’s eastern or western and more to do with the inspirations for the character. R. Mika is very clearly a Japanese joshi wrestler. Western wrestling doesn’t really have that kind of female archetype since western women’s wrestling took a different turn around the 50s and 60s. So I feel she should be more inspired by the women that laid the foundation for her archetype. Hugo, on the other hand, is quite literally just Andre the Giant, and therefore should probably be more based on the western big guy wrestler archetype. El Fuerte is a luchador and should be more based on Mexican (and to a lesser extent Japanese) masked wrestlers.
