I like the idea of throwing tarot cards, but i don’t see it work as V-reversal as usually it’s a close range situation
A possibility can be V-Trigger as Vega’s rose launch, she throw the tarot and if hit it paralyze the enemy in blue flames (she give a similar status in USF4 Omega) for a second
But i will like V-trigger to be orbs, so maybe V-skill? It will also make it happen more often
BTW 3 must happen things

Her vskill will just be an invincible backdash.

That wasnt meant in a “we need more information about the characters”-way but in a “holy shit, we’re ACTUALLY discussion the age of fictional characters now, we’re obviously craving for something to talk about right now”-way
Yeah, but they’re not actual clones…
if they ever do put Rose in this game, they should change her Idle stance. It looks ok in 2D but absolutely ghastly in 3D. Doesnt suit her “aura” if that makes sense.

I wouldn’t mind her going full-on telekinesis and just be floating around during her idle and walk animations.

Hmm… I confess don’t wanna see her soul reflect as v-skill, and here the why: first, it’s a sort of laziness decision, since the thing I hate the most in Cammy is her v-skill (an old moveset of hers). It means that Capcom missing an outstanding opportunity to step forward and built a new move is an unforgivable choise. Plus, soul reflect is a very specific move, mainly useful to deal with fireballs. If it becomes her v-skill, surely it will be limited like Bison’s one.
At last, the Kenshi style that you mentioned fits her, I’m fine with it.

The Soul Reflect V-skill will be different than Bison’s because it doubles as a command normal and has different properties.
It could go something like this:
MK+MP =
Reflects projectile horizontally fast + Is a command normal
B+MK+MP =
Reflects projectile horizontally slow + is an overhead command normal
D+MK+MK =
Reflects projectile diagonally fast + is better as an anti-air command normal than the previous 2 variations
Found the sprite for this (fightersgeneration are awesome!). This would be her CA again:
It’s such a badass grab. It must be revived!
I also rethought my position on her Soul Satellite.
Her standard projectile would be Soul Spark.
Ex Soul Spark however, would generate a Soul Satellite. Up to 3. This would be a nice parallel to having her VT as Soul Illusion. If you use up both gauges this way, you would have soul illusions and 3 soul satellites dealing consecutive damage. It would be AMAZING.
I’m not a fan of using a character’s existing move as a V-skill. That is lazy.

Not if the existing character gets a totally new and inspired move to replace it.
New and inspired move should be the v-skill. That’s what it exists for.

Apart from V-skill being a different button input I don’t see why it matters that much if an old move comes back as a V-skill as opposed to a special. I guess you miss out on EX versions of that move, which could either be a big deal or irrelevant depending on the move.
EX v-skills would be pretty dope though, now that I think of it.

What difference does it make? You’re getting a new move either way.
The purpose of the V-skill is to be an anti-zoning command normal. If the character already has an anti-zoning special in their repertoire I don’t see a reason why it can’t be recycled and repurposed. Like in the case of Bison, I would have happily embraced a Psycho Banish V-skill command normal over his very situational Psycho Absorb.
V-skills ain’t for anti-zoning. It’s suppose to be the thing that give characters their own mechanics. Ryu with the parry, Chun with an unique jump, Birdie being able to lay traps, etc. I think Capcom fucked up by making them special moves for some characters.

The impression I get is that V-skills are like FA and parries in that they give characters unique ways to deal with projectiles. This is the common thread between all of in SF5.
I don’t see that way as Mika, Alex and Dhalsim V-skill don’t do shit to stop zoning.

Dhalsim’s does (lets him hover above fireballs).
But I agree that V-skills should do more than just counter projectiles. That’s much too specific of a function for something that is supposed to be a core part of each character’s kit. Actually I think the problem with a lot of the current v-skills is that they are reactionary, meaning you can’t rely on them to build V-meter unless your opponent happens to do whatever your V-skill counters. We need more general purpose V-skills like Karin’s, Ibuki’s, Necalli’s, Dhalsim’s, Guile’s, etc. that you can effectively incorporate into your neutral game. Stuff like Vega’s, Bison’s, etc. just feel way too bland and situational. I’m also not a fan of the ones that power up your next move, personally (Alex/Mika/Urien). At least not when they’re so slow.
