You forgot Monster Hunter. That series prints money. Phoenix Wright is a decent money earner and it’s keeping Capcom’s digital content business afloat. Resident Evil really isn’t struggling. Unless you feel that Revelations 2 selling around 2 million is a bad thing for the series.

You know, Capcom went a few financial quarters without releasing anything new and still made a profit due to the strength of the games already in the market and re-releases. They will be fine.

Nintendo needs to buy Capcom. Nintendo would actually do shit with a bunch of their classic franchises.

Also, best Smash Bros ever.

“Street Fighter VI - only for Nintendo NX (handheld controller required)”

Agreed.

Then Disney can eventually buy Nintendo and all will be complete.

I believe there’s actually some kind of thing about Japanese companies not being able to be bought be foreign companies.

Interesting.

And viceversa. Disney is a titan conglomerate and Capcom is a tiny flea that only has success in a limited part of the world. Also, Disney doesn’t give a shit about video games last time I checked.

Yes, you are right in that Monster Hunter makes Capcom a ton of money.
Still, I think they’re generally not doing too well financially (just a feeling more than anything from when I lived in Japan).
Either way, it doesn’t really matter in the sense that I hope Capcom’s around for a long time to continue making awesome SF games.

Yes please. Anything to get her out of Street Fighter.

Also Guy’s Alternate costume in SSF4

Nintendo treats its legacy IPs even worse than Capcom , FZero? Metroid?. If they did buy Capcom , dont be surprised if Resident Evil and MH is all you get. SF being Nintendo exclusive would be the worst thing possible.

If your thinking of the one that almost looks like his regular costume with a sword on his back, im pretty sure i read somewhere that his and Cody’s ( the one with that tattoos and tank top) are kind of like “modern” versions of the final fight 1 costumes.
So its not really based on ff3.

Anyone who does to Capcom what Microsoft did to Rare (buy the company, give everyone the boot and put the franchises on the hands of actually inspired and competent people) is welcome to do so, even Nintendo.

Microsoft ruined Rare

You are out of your fucking mind.

Smash Bros. treats Nintendo’s legacy IPs better all on it’s own than Capcom’s entire company does.

Rare got famous making Donkey Kong Country games and Nintendo now makes far better DKC games than Rare ever did.

Edit: Doublepost

If “out of your mind” means “wanting something other than Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon until the end of time”, sign me up.

I would rather capcom merge with sega or something. Then i can finally get that capcom vs sega and/or Final Fight vs SOR that would destroy the hype meter.

Also whatever happened to that Sammy vs Capcom game rumoured in the early/mid 2000s. Apparently was mostly gonna be Darkstalkers vs Guilty Gear.

He’s right. Smash Bros is just a bunch of fanservice. Any company can do that with IPs they’re not utilizing. Namco likes to reference Klonoa and Splatterhouse in some of their games. They haven’t done anything with them in years. Nintendo only cares about Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Kirby, Donkey Kong and Fire Emblem. The rest of their legacy IPs don’t get shit. Capcom at the very least will re-release some of their old games even the Obscure ones. I’m still waiting for Nintendo to remember that StarTropics is their IP.

Not putting Rare on a pedestal, just saying after the Microsoft buyout they were ruined slowly and painfully.

Smash fanservice is more than Mega Man has received in the last decade.

Not sure I understand this statement. The Virtual Console has most of Nintendo’s older shit on it.

Well, they DID include it on that new mini-NES thing that’s coming out.
