It’s possible that the season 2 characters are already set, but I’m betting not. The game’s been out less than two months and only one DLC character has actually been released. I think Capcom is still feeling out reactions and getting feedback before they decide the season 2 cast. I mean, they still have almost 9 months until January of 2017. That’s plenty of time.

I think the position she ranked in that popularity poll hurt her chances. She is the 3rd lady of the series, but she was completely outshined by Sakura once Alpha 2 was released.
Also SF has very limited space for female characters, they usually take 15-25% of the roster. Rose ranked lower than Chun Li, Cammy, Sakura, Karin, Juri, R Mika, Ibuki, Poison, Makoto, Ingrid, Elena, Juli & Viper. Laura would most likely rank above her today too.
Yet birdie made it into the game…I think that should tell you something.

They did…to an extent. I mean again if birdie gets in. Hell someone like karin is in (despite being wanted) I think there’s a chance.

Karin was the most obvious addition to SFV imo, the only reason against it would be the so called ownership of the character, which I guess after they saw the poll, they tried really hard to have her.
Wasn’t Karin most requested for SF4 as well? Yet she made no appearance. I think SF5 is a fresh start after the SF4 revival of the FG genre. Hence characters you think couldn’t return did and so on and so fourth.

I like the drunk Lee idea, V-skill will be knocking back the gourd and the next special move he does he would have the ability to cancel it into some drunken evasion move or drunken follow up attack after it, get one cancel per drink.
Gimme ARIA, make it happen capcom.
I want to see how Capcom would design Rose in V and just to see her in SFV’s graphical engine so bad. I can’t stand SF4’s female models, they look so damn awkward, so much so that that the prettiest female character there is POISON. POISON of all people!

Still below KOF14 which is 38,0%, but at least its not as bad as the way SFA and SF3 started off. 25% really should be the lowest is should ever go, but I feel KOF’s ratio is better.

Anyways, I’ve always dug Rose and I’d love to see her get the SF5 treatment. This being Bison’s grand finale (at least feels like it) I can’t see her missing out. In the story thread, her profile was translated and it stated she’s been taking on disciples. Even if she’s not playable in season 2, I think we’ll see her in the storymode at the very least. We’re probably getting more than 6 characters and I think she’ll be in for sure before the later seasons pop up. There’s WAY too much of a connection and now that Capcom’s getting something together for the series’ lore, they recognize how important she is.
I would like to see Azam as being playable ASAP. Wasted potential if he isn’t and Mika’s partner is so much more visually appealing than Mika herself and a lot less grating on the ears. I definitely wouldn’t complain if it was later implemented that she is a swap of Mika via a single button press at the character select screen.

I’d love to see them redesign Rose. Her design is awesome as it is, but giving her a new graceful, more beautiful alt would be refreshing.
