Well, I think Vega’s moves are more unique, as for Balrog, I think the most important thing of his moves is that they are charge moves…

What do you guys think of the select screen characters placement ? Is it a place holder or maybe it is the way it will be when the game is released.
Looking at it, it seemed like the new guys will be on the right side where the the returning characters that we have not seen in a while are on the left side.

I think this could probably give us hints about future character reveals. Since the next character will probably be on the left then it means that it will be either an old one we have not seen in a while or a series staple. ( Which are both possible given the Karin rumors and TGS)

I hope they gave her a grown up redesign if she gets revealed… at least that way we will know Sakura got the same treatment as well.

Assuming she will be the next reveal, I’m also seriously wondering what her V-Trigger and V-Skill will be like. For someone like Karin I feel like they can give her something really interesting.

V-Skill or V-Trigger could be something revolving around her butler. He comes in and gives her a water bottle. Regenerating some health. Lol jk.

I hope not; she’s too proud a character to have her butler (awesome as he is, patching up her foes after a fight) assist her.

I suspect she’s going to have her command list massively paired down. You’ll have her Rekka, her command grab, her wheel kick, and her counter probably. The Elbow rush and upkicks, if they return, will probably be command normals (and I suspect the upkicks will be something like df.hk or f.hk). Her counter seems perfect as a V Skill as well; if they go that route they may split them into high and low or just make it one counter. I do hope it would be a zero frame counter though as it would not work against fireballs.

Which would leave her command list looking something like this

This gets rid of the slide ender and the ability to go into the elbow rush and wheel kick. So there’s no real high/low mixup on the rekkas, but that was never really that important in the first place.

I have no clue what they’ll do for her V Trigger. Perhaps an attack so that you have a real juggle after upkicks other than just going into super such as her old kick super? They were messing around with CCs using Omega Sakura but I feel that would be saved for her rather than put on Karin.

I’m so glad you’re not working on this game. Those design changes for her are horrible…

Generally, I’m not one to hate on another’s likes and dislikes, but… if you want Seth, the most uninspired boss/-character of all time, to return, you should contemplate on committing suicide sometime today.

Ive already posted on how much I despise Ingrid, but right now shes a better choice than Seth. It boggles the mind they ever thought that was a good idea for a boss. LOL.

Isn’t Seth dead anyway? Then Juri became the successor of S.I.N or something like that…

Even if he isn’t, I doubt he’d ever come back just by considering how he is one of the least popular characters in SF history… even someone like El Fuerte has a better chance of being DLC than him imo (I don’t want him either, though).

I’d like a grown up version of Ingrid to be the final boss. She could look a little like Hakan’s wife but have big powers just like Igniz from KOF 2001.

It’s easy to imagine the thought process:

Hey boss, we need to pick a big bad for SF4.
Just make Dictator the final boss.
But sir, the story division told us Dictator was meant to be a converted pacifist in this version. They specifically asked us to make him say “i am truly sorry” every time he lands a hit and have “Love and Peace!” as his win quote. They’ve changed their minds since then but Dictator is no longer fit to be the final boss, gameplay wise. Maybe we could get someone from 3rd Strike instead.
Never mention SF3 again. Ever.
But sir, there were some interesting character designs…
I’d advise you to stray from this direction unless you really enjoy scrubbing toilets. That game that shall not be named was our biggest commercial flop. We want SF4 to remind people of the goldmine that was SF2 and that’s that.
Then we could design a completely new character.
Will you pay for that yourself?

Area’s idea of a throw is pushing her opponent down then rolling over them, she cannot possibly be worse. She is also one of the most original fighters and the first SF character to rely on hi-tech gadgets in fights, before Viper, and now Rashid. IMO, as an underage looking female in a dress, she is the most interesting out of the bunch that include Sakura, Karin, and Ingrid.
