I’ve been dismissing leaks for the most part. I see people tossing around “Zen” and “Rashid”. Was there something that made the leak credible? I don’t remember Vega being on any of them.

[] There’s also Sagat, a classic character that started in Street Fighter I and big Shadaloo ally, big Ryu’s rival, noobish gameplay.

I’d say any combination of those characters have big chances to be the “blue zone” final two.
We also have Blanka who is one of Ono’s favorite, so maybe… Brazil stage confirmed and that.
Urien and Alex? Don’t think so. The slots are running out and I think we’ve never seen something that hint us Street Fighter III characters will have a place in the initial roster.
So this Bogard dude named the new mechanic for SFV months in advanced, but also dismissed Mika? I guess October (Brazil Game Show) will show if what he says really holds up.

1 of 4 Siliconera predictions has come true. We still got Urien, Alex and Karin to go. However, since there is only one Blue Box slot left, it will be a 3-way fight for one of them to make it in the initial 16.
Bogard could have just been trying to cover himself by saying Mika is wrong.
All these rumors… Ingrid, Karin, Urien, Alex… I wouldn’t even be surprised if they’re planning everything in advance and this is in the end a case like Street Fighter x Tekken “DLC package”… where they wanted to introduce this locked content as “new material”.
Who knows, maybe they’ve already decided the first 24 characters in the roster but not all of them are going to be in the initial roster. They may want to keep some characters in the pocket for a while.
It’s probably just my interpretation, but Bogard’s choice of words for Mika seems to imply he hates the character, it could be why he said that any list with Mika in it was fake. She does have some rather vocal haters after all.
Also, now that I think about it, Urien and Alex being in the green box seems fishy… is it supposed to be the numbered games? If so, then I doubt they’d leave one SF4 character, I’m thinking of 1 SF3 and 1 SF4 character there. Even then it’s kind of suspicious right, for all we know it might as well be SF2 characters after all (which I hope to god it isn’t).
IMO it’s kinda obvious that somewhere at Capcom’s HQ developers are discussing the characters, drawing concept arts, coding the moves, recording the animations right now, it’s not like KI when Double Helix had to pretty much plan the roster while the game was already out. It’s just up to Capcom to decide in which order characters will come out, I mean they’re probably gonna keep the new content releases active for the first year or so
