It’s generally seen as censorship if you do one thing and after sharing it, decide to change something about it that could be seen as questionable or objectionable. As an artist, any artist is pretty familiar with this. It doesn’t really matter if it’s self imposed, it’s being done to avoid it being done, asked, questioned later.

I did not say Daemos was a virgin Aspergers patient, I was making a tongue and cheek joke about the people in this “movement”. The STW’s, social totalitarian warriors.
What they’ve done with Cammy and Mika is the definition of censorship. In PG13 films, well today not in the 80s and 90s, back then you could get away with a lot, but today kills happen off screen or sex scenes happen off screen or without showing certain things, they are instead implied. Mika’s buttox slap now happens off screen with the sound effect, it’s implied. It’s been censored. I really don’t understand why this concept is so difficult for you to understand.
You and Daemos are the only people on Internet who I’ve seen put forth this strange argument. So, let me get this straight. You don’t think it’s censorship. Ok. Then what do you think it is? Define for me what it is if it’s not censorship.

Easilyn I think you read this thread with a deluded lens of bias against me, and are really seeing things that aren’t there and imaging this “crazy chaos”.
I admit that what I’ve said, my theories about who the STW’s are really deep down. That tongue and cheek, and I did it to push some buttons and it set Daemos off so that should tell you all you need to know about that guy.

Daemos provided a dictionary definition of censorship. It doesn’t get more clear cut then that. Honestly, everything about this does point to being an in-house decision. If external factors were involved the censorship would be more severe.

Over at Capcom Unity, the various YouTube videos from guys who pretty much unanimously think this censorship is bullshit, I won’t name names other than AOS who was already mentioned, but it’s just… I really don’t know what happened to this place or what I expected.
Well I know what I expected. I expected the people who wanted this censorship rescinded to talk about it and then work together to try and resolve it.
I’ve always wondered why very few high profile members of the FGC post these days but frankly now I totally see why.

As far of Mika goes there is far more an external censor would have done then refocus the camera. From the quote it seems it was removed for esports. SFV is the game they built Capcom Cup around.
