I am going to be looking at a SFIV TE Fighting Stick for XBOX 360 tomorrow. I found one on craigs list for $200. For the people who have this stick already, I am curious to know about the condition of the box (i.e. is it sealed? I know it might sound stupid, but this guy says this stick is BRAND NEW but the box is not sealed.). I am also wondering if I should be looking for certain things inside the box (i.e. manuals…etc…) I just want to make sure he is selling a legit product. I am planning to test it out on my Xbox 360. If anyone has any advice on what to look out for in addition to what I posted, please post down below.
***If anyone knows of where to purchase the SFIV TE Fighting stick for XBOX360 in the Bay Area, preferably SF, please let me know. I have tried all the Gamestops, as well as called up Fry’s Electronics.
-p.s. I tried to post this under the Discussion forums, but says I need 50 posts.
there are 2 very small clear, circular stickers that “seal” the box. those stickers can be easily removed and put back on tho to create the illusion that it was never opened. the stick is very robust though so as long as it looks new, i wouldnt worry too much about it. i bought mine used and its held up well. i was later able to find 2 new ones that i bought and never opened.
also…game crazy which is a part of hollywood video was where i was able to find the 2 new ones. good luck
They’ve been having stock sneak in on almost a weekly basis. Keep an eye on or subscribe to wiialerts.com for a heads-up on when the sticks are available.
200+ for an arcade stick is insane i’ll never get one. Seems to me it’s just an object you can use for bragging rights. When SF4 came out in Ireland a few Hori EX2’s came out & i’ve been using it non stop & it works just fine. & How much did it cost? 50 Euro. 5 Hours work. A stick is a stick even if the TE has super-leet-mega-ultra-awesome-japanese arcade parts. But then again i’m not a person to judge or tell others what to do. >>>>>THIS IS JUST MY OPINION<<<<<< Flame Shield Up
So I just got my SFIV TE Stick for XBOX 360 today in the mail. I am curious about the button layout and whether or not to use DP or LS. Not sure how set up my buttons…but was thinking about setting it up Arcade style (because it would be easier to adapt when I go play at the arcade.) If anyone has any advice on how to set up buttons, let me know.
Most people have the buttons set up so the top buttons are light punch, medium punch, heavy punch, and bottom buttons are light kick, medium kick, heavy kick. not sure what they do with the 4th buttons on the end though, maybe set one to all 3 kicks or punches.
The DP, LS, and RS, stand for D-pad, Left Stick, or Right stick. I leave mine on DP, but I haven’t noticed a difference with either settings when it comes to fighters. This feature is basically to allow you to use your stick with games that only register the analogue left stick or right stick. If you flip it to that setting that’s what the games register it as.
For default arcade controls with the TE, go to controller settings and just set it back to controller and setting A. This marks all the buttons to the default arcade setup.
If you can do me a markman a favor we’d greatly appreciate it. could you open up the te stick & take the pictures of the underside of the joystick as I’d like to confirm something. I would REALLY appreciate this as it’s an important matter of the joystick itself. please reply here or send me a message with a pic again, specifically the underside of the joystick. thanks again.
