SFIV League PLEASE REREAD FIRST POST! IMPORTANT!

That’s a genius team name, by the way, Jared.

:d <3

Cool. As things start building momentum and begin to get hammered out, I will approach them.

I am super excited about this!

Although the closure of Zach’s is the end of an era, and an unfortunate casualty, it is great to see people beginning to step it up individually to carry on the scene.

Good stuff Frank, this is hype.

I would be down with this if I can find a team. I would like a team with any one from Redmond to the Everett area. I work in Redmond live in Everett would be easier for getting practice sessions in. At the moment I will be maining blanka, but if this isn’t starting till October that might change.

Ay! Know who needs a team? This guy, right here.

Trace, check your pm’s.

im down for this. but i need a team. so if this is gonna happen, when about is it gonna start?

Possibly nov. Maybe sooner depending.

If you are looking for a team, check the other thread I put up a list of ppl that are looking for teams, just remeber, no duplicate characters on a team.

So here’s a run down on what I HOPE an event will be:

1 hour before event:
Myself (and hopefully some volunteers) come in and set up (cameras, game, banner etc)

30 min. Before event:
Teams for first set show up

Captains meet with a “ref” and have a coin flip, winner decides which side to play on, and wether to go and practice first or second.

First team goes in and gets 10 minutes to warm up and practice, while this is going on second team will get interviewed (I’ll probably do the interview) it can be just the captain, or the whole team your choice.

When 5 minutes of practice is left, the ref will ask the practicing team what their order will be. They’ll have from now till the end of practice to make a decision.

After the 1st practice is done teams will swap and go through the same procedure.

NOTE: practices will be private, only the team practicing and the ref will be in the room (unless we fell behind schedule setting up)

10 minutes before event:

Start letting the crowd into the room, let them know what we expect etc etc.

Film intro

Get the event going.

After set:

Escort crowd out, thanking them for coming out. Record results.

Post interviews with teams.

If there’s another event, repeat process, if not begin tear down.

End of event.

I wasn’t joking on how serious I am about this.

Also I changed the OP to show what I might need to have this thing run as smooth as possible, if you can contribute please let me know =]

Oh shizzle, this is getting super cereal up in this piece. Gettin’ excited!

Seconded! This is getting hella hype.

Loving how serious you are about this, Frank. We should definitely profile a team weekly and post it on a website (either brand new) or seattleversus. It would be tight if we can get some announcers too
