SFIV in Tacoma now!

a dollar per game should be standard… like thats what it is in japan. People have to start adjusting shit for inflation this isn’t 1995 anymore guys.

I think $1 to play a game that is only avaiable in a few places in the whole united states is a great amount.

That kind of sucks that we won’t be able to use the IC cards, but I can deal.

This isnt Japan, we cant get to Narrows without either spending a whole lotta time or a whole lotta gas. Anyone in Japan can just hot a train and go, not the case here.

1.00 a game for a game that goes pretty freaking fast is sort of a lot. It’s not like its DDR where you get to play for 10 minutes or something.

They should put it on 3 out of 5.

Guys, keep in mind that they had to pay over $10,000 for this game

And this is the truth. People need to make back there money. The cost of technology isn’t stagnant. And you know they had to pay alot of money to bring that shit over here too. Im sure shipping was ridiculous. You can’t expect to pay .50 for the rest of your life to play games in the arcade. Its that kind of attitude that keeps arcades a low profit business!

That may be true, but I still don’t want to pay $1.00 to get SPD’ed to death by Geif in 2 rounds, and step off the machine in 30 seconds.

3 out of 5 doesn’t sound unreasonable for the price, and they aren’t losing money. In fact, I would probably play/pay more often if I got more game for my money.

3 out of 5 is a good idea, does SF4 have the option for it though?

The cabinet was $10,000? Gold plated buttons or what?

No, the BOARD was $10,000. Cabinet sold separately

Because arcade operators in Japan will pay that much. They get enough traffic to make enough profit on it (and the whole 100-yen-per-play thing). And, despite the fact US arcades generally don’t operate on that scale of economy, they’re not about to sell it to us at a discount price when the Japanese arcade owners could manage to pick one up via here without paying the $10k.

Arcade SF4 in the US was a complete afterthought, at the most. Capcom decided to make an arcade release in Japan, for Japan, and if anyone else wanted to get it, that’s fine with them, but no support for interfacing with their card/points network. Meaning, no alternate costumes. The only fully supported wide-distribution SF4 release we’re getting are the console versions.

I dont care how much they paid for it, $1 is still too much to ask…They will lose business from me & pretty sure a lot of other random people…No one wants to pay $1 to play fighting game, only obsess fans…

Dont get me wrong, i will be there to play cuz its fucking SFIV but i know ill be discourage in the long run cuz im a cheap bastard…

I’m all for playing for $1. I paid $1 to play Marvel at Gameworks, I’m so dedicated.

Update on the sf4.

Dope. I don’t necessarily mind paying a $1 a game. Especially because I didn’t expect to play this game until the actual console release. I won’t be spending hella money mind you, as I expect to be winning lol.

I kid, I kid.

Portland Road Trip plz.

What about PDX getting cabs? Lloyd Center Tilt? that way if we come down there, we can play there too!

Wait, Dynamo cabs…american sticks?

That’s kinda disappointing, but oh well

America runs this shit. I don’t want to hear it regarding gay ass jap sticks.

About the sticks.
