Hey im heading out to tacoma tonight after I get off work. So prob around 8pm. How late does this place open til? Hope a lot of fools are there.

Narrows stays open until midnight Tuesday through Thursday (I believe) and stays open until 2AM Friday through Monday. I’m thinking of rolling through tonight later on.

I dont know if peeps are ready for sim tho, actually i still need a shit ton of work with sim. But I have a pretty intense philosphy on how you need to play him now, its so diferent but its bad fuckin ass. A great new way to play sim, im diggin it.
In the end, i say sagat/rog/sim/bison/ken/vega will own the game. Just my guess =)
Oh and really “SPECIAL” el fuerte players (like diago fear) El fuerte is basically the new guy but faster…lol

Mandel - Good games, your Chun is a headache. Abel can cope with her until she gets an EX stock which takes, what, 6 seconds? And then I can’t think of anything that will stop her. EX SBK is too fucking good. As for Honda, maybe? LOL. Buttsplash seems ridiculously safe. Hopefully I’m not just imagining it.

Your Balrog is damn scary, I haven’t seen so much shit go through him as when you were fighting Mandel. Dhalsim looks pretty crazy too; that was my first time seeing anyone use him. Good shit.
And GGs to anyone else that was there. Clearly I’m lagging behind as far as learning the game goes, but not much I can do about it except try to make it out when I can.
Good sessions guys. They have a nice set up there, i was impressed at the size of the arcade…in a bowling alley lol. But its good. According to mandel they are pretty good at fixing stuff on early request so thats a plus. I prob wont be there til after I get my first pay check, whcih will be in like a week. After that u will see me there practically every night until we can get tourneys started.

We had to replace the joysticks already last night! Those competition Happ sticks were already getting funky. Not sure what the tech’s dropped in those cabinets last night, so please give us some feedback on if these replacement sticks are shit. If so, we will throw some competitions back in their next week when they arrive.

I was actually on the machine when it broke. The replaced stick right now is playable, but definitely feels like walking on egg shells. Both sticks feel like they will break any time. Both sticks have a grinding motion too.
In any case, yeah the sticks are playable, but I wouldn’t rely on them for to much longer.
I want to take this time to express my feelings on a thought that dawned onto me a few moments ago.
First off everyone should be playing SF4, no excuses, no bullshit.
Secondly besides the fact that SF4 is that revival of competitive fighters (at least for me), the bombest thing about us having the game in a distant but yet not to distant place is. I AM RELIVING WHAT GOT ME INTO FIGHTING GAMES IN GENERAL.
and that people is going to the arcade droppin money down and going to fucking town against random people and people I know. And for those that are apprehensive about spending a dollar or driving all the way down to tacoma to play or all the other bullshit excuses take this into consideration, how many times have you yourself have said “man I wish we had an arcade around here?” (I guess this is mainly going towards those that were around during the lanwerx days) Well guess what we have it, and yes it sucks balls that it’s in Tacoma. But should that stop you? People this is a new fighter, from a company that we all have been entertained by for the past what 9 years? I hope to hell there is a tournament for this game, and I hope that it’s announced at least a month or month and a half away. So that those who have been wanting to relive the days of old (Silver Coin, Lanwerx, Evo 2k2 and 2k3 for capcom games) this is your chance. I had forgot how tight it was to just go and wait while watching people play, going outside to smoke cigarettes with people and talk about random stuff about the game wether it’s combos or strats, or ideas for combos.
Above all else if I’m willing to go back to that piece of shit ass hell hole of a town to play street fighter 4, then what is your excuse to not go?

Good points, Frank. $1 a play and the fact that it’s in Tacoma ain’t going to stop me from playing some SFIV! Like you said, it brings back some great memories of when WA used to have a great arcade scene. If only it was in Game Works…I’d go a lot more often, since I live like an hour drive away.
With that said, I’ll be going once again this Saturday with Billy and Gene. We’ll probably be there by 5 or 6 pm…maybe later.

We were kickin it at a friend’s (parents’) giant ass beautiful house near the water last weekend… which was literally down the street from Narrows 
but then again hilltop is right there too… Tacoma is a very random city in the regard that it goes from multimillion dollar houses to crack houses within a matter of miles
