b+MK Tenshokyaku target combo has a lot of applications actually, especially in footsies. Don’t sleep on it! It has deceiving range, a good hitbox, and can blow up a lot of moves that characters like to stick out. Plus it combos into U2 anywhere and U1 in the corner.
I use the fuck out of back+mk. When you know your spacing well you can just do it. Because it will only hit if someone presses something or walks forward. I usually nail people with it 2 or 3 times a round.
Lol, it is one of those moves that could’ve been way better. I think it would be great as either a low crush or something that allowed her to kara like Ken’s step kick (the kara distance on it now is just ass). I’m surprised that it still has very little frame advantage on hit for how slow it is to start up.
I usually do it VERY RARELY from about max range meaty as the opponent is getting up from a sweep or something. Most of the time this results in them getting counter hit (which you can link a light attack into BnB after) or I can pressure them if they block it.
F+mk = 15 frames of startup = dash forward. Maybe chun li can play a mixup.
B+mk = 9 frames of startup = faster than a lot of far range move.
If you can figure out when your opponent tend to throw his far range move, maybe you can use it to win
No fuckin idea who that is, but they made a new thread and posted the exact same thing on capcom-untiy. Whoever that is: if you want improvement and aren’t just trolling, that is definitely not the way to go about getting it
This is my first uploaded video from USF4 for PC! Yaaaay lol.
The match isn’t really what’s important, but rather the demonstration of the ending combo which utilizes the focus crumple cl.MP reset I talked about a while back.
MrBrown didn’t have a fucking clue what was happening to him when you df.rh->cl.st.fp->hasan.shu’d him. That’s some slick shit you have going on. Tricky as all fuck.
Embarrassing confession, I always lose against inferior Chun-Li’s. I lost so many Chun-Li mirrors, tonight, but then I meet the nr.12 Chun-Li who has like over 10k BP and I go 1-1 with him. I really need to get a handle on this match-up. I was playing a pretty good player earlier and he was brutalising me with calculated turtling and quick release focus attacks. He had me downloaded pretty damn hard and he made it a real pain the arse to approach him, because he was forever backing off.
In better news, I finally shook off the bad beats I was taking. I lost a whole bunch of BP lately and I finally managed to start winning consistently again and clawed those points back. I need to build more of a buffer passed that 5,000 point mark, because I would be so embarrassed if I dropped below that again. /points_matter
Points don’t matter lol I have 0pp and 0bp if they mattered I’d be an awful player, what does matter is working on those aspects of your game that are stopping you from being consistent. Watch your matches back and actually note down on paper everytime you waste meter or do something unsafe that gets punished and all the mistakes you make… tot them all up at the end of watching a few replays and see what habits you repeat that are causing you to feel like your inconsistent.
Then don’t care about winning and losing just play to consciously fix your list of issues for a few nights, then repeat the process, don’t do things purely to win, do things to improve then eventually you’ll gain more points than you lose and you’ll become consistent…
Though don’t listen to me I have no points so I’m an awful player lol
How dare you!?! Ehe, I’m just kidding. I don’t know, even good players play online, from time to time. Like, Smug, he’s got so many ranked Dudleys. Maybe it’s not the best tool for training, but I don’t think it’s worthless either. Online can throw off your rhythm, by delaying your combo timing by so many frames, but, you can course-correct when you have to adjust back to zero delay. Your timing is still essentially the same, only your reaction needs to be shifted a little, in comparison to the feedback you receive on the screen. In either case, I said points_matter at the end as an acknowledge of what cats on Shoryuken think about points. Me? I kind’ve find them fun. It’s nice to be able to track your progress, as flawed as the system is. Sometimes you’ll hit a plateau, like you’ll hit 2000pp and you scratch your head wondering, how the fuck does this other Chun-Li have 3000? So, you’ve gotta think there’s something better you could be doing.
I’m not a real emotional player, if I’ve gotta level to you. I don’t get salty dead often. I used to do that but then I realised, it’s just not worth it. I’m not having fun if I’m getting all angry because some cat did something I thought was retarded, but it beat me anyhow. These days, if I get beat I’ve got to hand it to that other dude. He had me figured out, even if he didn’t really understand how he had me figured out.
None of that has anything to do with my point lol, all I was saying is don’t worry about your points and work on your faults. If you make less mistakes you’ll win more games, if you win more games you’ll have more points…
For the record I don’t think points are the be all and end all (I haven’t played ranked in Ultra), however to dismiss points so flippantly as so many people do is also a bit folly. No there are no points offline but consistently winning online in ranked will earn you points, anyway the points matter/don’t matter argument and attempts at appearing ‘bigger’ than that aren’t really important , what is important is that people improve, how they choose to track that improvement is irrelevant…
Sorry for starting this all I was trying to do was offer Maximum Spider a way to go about improving his consistency and that was the bit of my post that should have been noted…
For what its worth I don’t care about points myself BUT when playing someone online if they have a lot of PP the chances are they are going to be decent or good at the game…
