I see the new schedule is up. I noticed a lot of people forfeited matches. Folks, Sal gives us more than a week to play 2 matches which could take up to15 minutes tops. Come on no excuses. If I can do it so can you. I have a family, work and go to school. I’m mad because I can’t pay as much as I would like

Bare in ind not all matches are forfeits due to the player just not having time to play their match.
Like my bison match for example i chose to forfeit that fight as i was changing my fighter anyway so it was pointless playin that match as even if i had won it it would have been for nothing as i would be back at the bottom anyway.
Plus alot of things happen in peoples lives that stop them from getting matches done its not always avoidable. Most people do conact sal to let him know whats up.
On a side note i have a 360 now and am getting live and ssf4 soon so will be able to play my opponents on that system too if needs be.
sigh just when I am about to get a strap match too. Oh well, ElGeneral is in my sights for a match that’s well over a year in the making and Wild’s Gief isn’t going to get in my way.

This Ryder Cup will be a lot more competetive as the European side has received many strong members since the last tournament.

There are legitamate reasons why each of us can’t play our match. But after two weeks of forfeits, then it becomes obvious that a member doesn’t have the time to play, or doesn’t care to play. The league is direectly impacted by these members, and thus, must be removed to make room for new members than can or want to play.
In the case of ANAKINY2K, he let me know he was forfeiting since he was changing fighters. That is perfectly fine with me as that becomes an official result to a match. No need to make a ‘decision’ to close that match. Also, it lets his opponent know that the match is complete & doesn’t waste his time. Finally, Anakin’s completion stats are not impacted since he starts anew with his new fighter. As long as a member lets me know his results one way or another, the league operates perfectly.
I would advise to setup your own account on your brother’s PS3 since you will have two different people contacting you. Also, I’m sure they would appreciate to see your name on-screen when they are playing you versus playing a name that isn’t in the league.
You may have to wait a few weeks MAN as you are in prime position to represent your country! You won’t automatically become a Captain for the Americas Team in the Ryder Cup, but your high ranking may get you an invite. I know you don’t like playing Euro members due to the lag, so you can always decline the invite.
Any members not invloved in the Ryder Cup will have regular weekly ranked matches with a chance to move up or down in the rankings as normal. Those involved in the Ryder Cup will keep their rankings going into Week 17.
Indeed. I was surprised how the Americas Team won easily the first Ryder Cup. However, new members and fighters this 2nd time will make the event much more competitive. Don’t shy away from the newest Euro member, RisoH. He is now the highest Grand Points member in the league! That says something about his skill level.

I have already added him to my friends list and will play a few matches to see how badly he’d rape me.
I also need to consult with various members.
My guess is the captains will all be the Red Division members so we have to decide together. It’s safe to say that the best members to go with are: RisoH, Puzzller, wauhti and CrossOvah/Helnova.
Worst thing here is that I’d have to participate with my secondary character, Vega, instead of my main.
Either ways, it’ll be another fun event I’m looking forward to.

Don’t forget about the invites, SABISHII. Even with your Vega champion, you can invite your other fighter, Zangief. Some may see it as a selfish thing, but if it helps the Euro team, go for it! Be sure to pay mind to the most popular characters in the two regions. The Europeans use 5 of the 7 Giefs in the league, and no one in the Americas Region use Rose (all 3 are in the European Region). Conversely, 9 of the 10 Rogs are in the Americas Region as are 7 of the 9 Kens.

I just played against RisoH, and he defeated my Vega, but then I defeated his Guy with my Zangief so I don’t know what to say. Though he’s undeniably the best Guy player I’ve played against.
I’ll see what to do once the matches are done.
