What are you using to “split off” your cables? What cables are you using? HDMI? Component (Red Green Blue)? Composite (Yellow, Red, Black)?
I was getting a little lag before I turned of the automatic upconversion that my A/V receiver does to component. After that I just have standard TV lag and internet lag.
Your matches all seem pretty laggy, but I thought it was just the internet you get in Washington. :razzy:
Well, if you’re using an Xbox, I can imagine you would have all sorts of problems recording a PS3 match. Just a thought…
All joking aside, don’t you record your matches with a video camera? Lag within the game would have nothing to do with your camera, but you might have an issue with your camera if your video has lag. For my matches, I’m using an EasyCap video card and spltting my S-Video & Composite cables. I haven’t experienced any lag in my matches that I’m recording. I had all sorts of issues with the video not being in sync, but I think I got that corrected.
Got your results from ND2130. Great run with both of your fighters, HADUKEN3. ND2130 SAGAT won in the blue bracket.
It used to be called the Great 8. Call it what you want!
My ps3 is messed up and wont detect any cables but my hdmi. So i have to record my matches with a video camera. Right now I Just have two splitters for the yellow and white and send one of each to the tv and one of each to my video camera where is switches from av to dv then i have a 1394 cable that goes from my camera to my computer. Then I just open up adope premiere pro and record but I noticed that there was some lag on the tv the moves seemed a little behind my inputs didnt know if i was just paranoid or if there was something I could do to adjust this. Also would would you reccomend to get the signal to my computer and tv using and HDMI output, so i can still play in high def and record my matchers
i was on for most of the day today waiting for srkface13 and i know i already got a bye earlier so i don’t want to auto dq out of the toruney this late into it i am going to be on every day from 10 to 11 this week aso can someone please let srkface that because i send him a message on psn telling him that and i got no respond congrats to all that have advanced
A powered splitter would be better since a weak signal can cause lag. Also, what is messed up on your PS3? Some people don’t know that when you turn on the ps3 if you hold the power button down until it beeps again it will reset the video to whatever you have plugged in. Whether it’s hdmi, component, or composite. Hope that helps.
I’ll send him a message over on SF4forums.com. I also sent a message on the PSN yesterday as his two matches are the only ones remaining in the 4th round. Deadline isn’t until Wednesday, April 14th.
I’ve never heard of a PS3 that only works on a HDMI connections. As SBL said, you can hold down the power button on the front of the PS3 to reset the video option. Of course, you need to have the PS3 hooked up. I prefer to simply use the DISPLAY option under the menu settings for the PS3. In fact, to record my last couple of matches, I switch from my HDMI connection to an S-Video connection. You can record in HD, but that will cost you a lot of dough.
The amplifer will prevent any loss of quality in the video, which is necessary when you split the video & audio. The amplifier also works as a splitter, since you connect the the PS3 cords to the input section, and then have the option of 4 outputs (you only need 2 - one to the TV, one to the EasyCap).
Here is a video explaining the setup:
looks good i think i only need the amplifier to make it work since i can get the cables to the Laptop via my video camera. But I wish i could still play in HD and send the second signal with the basic video.
You can. It just costs more money. For hd recording for HD quality you need the following
Xbox360
hdmi powered splitter hdcp 1.3 compliant
Matrox MXo2 Mini or similar
laptop pc or a 17" macbook pro with express/34 port. Or desktop with pci express
hdmi cables
PS3
all of the above plus HDFury2 to strip HDCP from the HDMI signal
Good Luck.
There is a thread on SRK with more options and details for component HD recording as well. I’ll link it later if you want or can’t find it.
That is why I just went with an EasyCap! Haven’t bought the amplifier yet, but will soon. The quality is OK for me for my videos on YouTube, but should improve with the amplifier.
I can’t see your link at the moment but here is the thread with more answers. I just gave you info on HDMI recording. Of course component is possible and cheaper.
