yo SAL, i just want to chime in and say i like the match of the week idea, and that the link is broken. it should be http://sfccl.weebly.com/blog.html, not news. i like the idea of paying notice to the players that are doing well, if only there was a way to ensure video coverage of the match. anyways, i see the league has gotten huge, and ElGeneral’s not giving up. congratulations on the success here and on other boards! hopefully you’ll have room when i want to come back, more than likely once finals are over :tup:

I like the match of the week stuff too. I was wondering if you could post the records for everyone like you do the capcom stats. It might be of interest to people as well.

I thought if you switch you would have drop to the bottom of the league, not division?
Just conversating, if you are dropping a character I think you have to earn all the way back up, that way it helps filter the best player using their best at the top.
I do have every players/fighters record that I compile every week based on the weekly results, but I only post the Division Champion records. And some of those aren’t always that great.
All the data is public knowledge since every week & the results are posted under the Fight Archives. That being said, League records aren’t true indiciations of skill level. My record with KEN is sub-.500 in the League, but I have never left the GOLD Division since the formation of the League. And many of those losses are at the hands of Lux and ElGeneral.
And I’ll be honest - some records are pathetic. Yet, those figthers are in the higher division simply b/c no one else takes their spots in those divisions. They may not win their matches but their commitment to the League outlasts those with good records but flame out after a couple of weeks.
In that respect, I’ll only post the records of the Division Champs.
As big as the League is now, that would be a very stiff penalty for changing your character. The original thought process was to prevent a player from using one character to climb the rankings & then change after becoming champion or as they go into a championship fight. Therefore, any member changing their fighter out would simply be dropped to the bottom of the current division. Now, to a degree, that still happens if someone swaps out their fighter after reaching the top divisions, but on a smaller scale. Also, changing fighters in the top divisions is a dicey choice since you know you’ll be facing other people’s best fighters. It’s not a good place to ‘tryout’ a new fighter.
In the end, their wins & losses with the new fighter will soon place them in the proper division and rank.
Like you said SAL it is all public knowledge. It’s not really that big a deal. But I can see how some people would flame over it if someone had a “bad” record and in a higher division. So I can see how in the interest of peace your choice makes some sense. That being said you do have Capcom stats. Oh, and don’t get too comfortable in that Gold division. Lots of newcomers climbing the ranks. :razzy:
I think its about time you retire ELgeneral guys too good lol. Hope i geta shot at him sometime. WE NEED SOME NEW BLOOD IN THE NUMBER ONE SPOT MAKE IT HAPPEN!!.
