I think A3 is one of those “timeless” games. It’s always going to be fun, no matter how old it gets.

“Kara” just means “Empty”. So it refers to anything.
It’s not the same as in 3rd strike (where it usually only refers to kara-throws).
Basically; any normal move that can normally be canceled during a combo, can also be canceled within the first few frames of its animation.
This is a “kara-cancel” because the normal move is “empty”. And every character has at least 2 normal moves they can cancel.
Cody and Charlie don’t have any command throws, so they don’t have any “kara-throws”.
But they can cancel their normal moves into special moves. An example would be for Charlie to cancel his c.SK into a FP-Sonic Boom, before the c.SK ever fully animated.
xenozip, it’s good to see other people being as fascinated by a3 as oneself.
i thought the vid was okay, but you must know that i’m very picky about combovids
anyhow, what i wanted to ask; the rolento cross up vc you did. compared to his common one it seems kinda inventive and “better”. yet i wonder if it’s not easier to dp. because i believe the air.mp hits a bit higher and earlier than the air.mk, or am i mistaken?
i guess if there’s no difference than it’s worth learning your version.
hey Xenozip, thanks for posting the vid. Tight matches/combos. I love it. But there’s one question that bothers me about the video: How come Fei Long, Dee jay, T. Hawk, Juli, Guile, and Evil Ryu were snubbed out from the video???

Anyway, you are correct. The MP hits higher. It’s also more diffacult to land, because the MPs hitbox is so small, and you have to be rather close to your opponent, which means you have to aim it rather well.
However, the MP was used in the video for two seperate reasons.
#1) It demonstrates that it can be done.
#2) The timing between the connected j.MP and c.FK are slightly different than his other cross-up. You may notice that the c.MK hits just before the shadow of the j.MP, which forces the opponent closer to Rolento, and allows for more c.MKs.
Because, with the exception of Juli, those characters aren’t in the arcade version.
Juli essentially has 3 special moves, 1 of which is completely worthless. And she has the same normals and stamina as Juni.
Cammy is always a better option than Juli. They are pretty much the same, except Cammy has better stamina, more normals, and better/more specials.
Basically anything Juli can do; Cammy and Juni can do better. Both in A-ism and V-ism.
You may also notice that M.Bison didn’t make it into the video either, except as a ‘dummy’.
Can you make another SFA3 video, this time, it will be titled : “Console characters”? Please…I don’t think I could remember seeing any SFA3 vid(s) on the web that features console characters doing combos. :depress: So, if you could make one (for me perhaps), i would be so damn proud.
Ok, so I’ve now been able to get the link into ABC but it tells me that there are problems connection to the tracker. Oddly enough when I check the torrent details, it keeps telling me that it’s getting the details from lokitorrents, rather than suprnova, despite the fact I’m clicking on the suprnova link!!!
