Kind of disappointed that there hasn’t been some system-wide change to defense. I know some characters have had their throws nerfed but would have liked to have seen increased block push on V-Reversals for example.
Karin’s nerfs seem reasonable. Pushback on corner throw, stun nerfs, cr.mk easier to whiff punish. They buffed her heavy jumpin’s which is nice.
Yikes at VTC off raw fireball being gone for Akuma. That interaction is the start of a lot of Tokido’s clutch comebacks. We saw a lot of it during the weekend, especially during top 8.
They saw this as a problem but not shit like slide/sweep into VTC. Why? They’re both cancer.
@Frost you were right about Cody’s zonk levels.
Holding down the P button for over 300 frames with “Zonk Knuckle” now activates an improved Level 2 version of it. Cody can combo afterwards from both the normal and EX version, and the EX version has higher frame advantage on block. There is a downside that the P button is unavailable for use while holding it down, but we believe the positives of the move outweigh the negatives.

Not unsettling to me, the game has pretty much ran its course. We’re up to 40 characters. And coming to the end of a console generation. The real question is how does the financial side of capcom look at their fighting game division right now?
The answer is gonna decide how long till we get another capcom fighting game. And if you look at the bangers they’ve been releasing and then the results of their last two fighting games (this and mvci) it might be a little while lol.
No way to know though if Seth already has future dlc moves coded within that v skill is there?
Season 5 characters could already be completed or at least they know which characters to add so they just give Seth one of those confirmed specials ahead of time in the code
