Marvel is gonna be dead for a while unfortunately. That last one almost DOA and Disney has it’s own issues that make the franchise a no go for the foreseeable future.

Best you’ll get is a Capcom crossover game at best, and even that is a reach depending on how Capcom interprets infinite’s failure

I’m starved as fuck for a vs/team and assists style game.

Same, but do you really think that’ll ever happen? I’m starting to fear the worst, and more consistently too. CE is a great idea, and it’s what AE should have been. And if it’s taking this long to shit out a new SF, are they ever going to make a SFxCapcom game ever?
Have the experimental days of FGs disappeared?

There won’t be a MvC for the forseeable future.

Despite Marvel’s meddling, especially roster-wise, let’s be real. They fucked up a classic FG franchise at the peak of the MCU.

Seriously, that’s a fuck up of epic proportions. Game shipped at a downright unsalvageable state when you could probably sell used toilet paper as long as you managed to slap an Avengers brand on it.

Neither Capcom is greenlighting a dime to it, nor Marvel wants to deal with this shit again. Mahvel is dead.

I wouldn’t say never, but it’ll be a while.

They are given time. I doubt Capcom is afforded that either.

I would say they are man

You make a good point and it’s something I’ve stood behind for a while now. It’s gone. I think it’s time to look to other franchises to crossover, if anything at all.

I can’t see a gap shorter than the one between UMvC3 and MvCI.

And if I recall, that one was long, long, maaaaan~

Yeah Capcom fumbled Marvel during peak MCU buildup idk how you fuck up that bad. Should’ve been like printing money as far as fgs go

How long was the gap? I’m not expecting another chance at marvel until like 2030 lol

That’s exactly why BBTag was born. ArcSys was on some foot on neck business back then and it paid off. DBFZ just catapulted them into the limelight.

Google sez: November 15, 2011 ~ September 19, 2017.

Yeah, give it around 10 years. Maybe more.

BB has the name and it capitalised on the RWBY and Persona fanbase. I agree with what you say. If it wasn’t for their consistency though, I doubt they’d be where they are.
Which brings me to Capcom. They are anything but consistent. And wasn’t their last good game in 1999?
TL;DR
Can a crossover game even save their reputation among old school fans at this point?

I’m hoping maybe we can get a cheap remaster on ps5/6 on the next 10 yr anniversary or something.

I can’t even look or listen to infinite in its current state

People won’t let you either. There’s so much justfied and unnecessary hate towards the game that everyone defaults to seeing red. You’re smart to disengage before anything starts.

The moment the MCU Xmen movies start hitting, people are gonna be hot for a new marvel.

If Capcom FG div isn’t bankrupt by then

Lol Disney is not giving Capcom that license again you’re high. At least not before they prove they can produce a modern fg that makes bank.

I’d expect them to go to NRS for that Marvel/DC crossover before MvC is tried again

You went from good point to ???
How do you propose there’ll ever be a MxDC game?

I don’t want to come off as if I’m smarter, I’m just a bit confused
