The whole purpose is to update the game yearly. And why are you asking about updates in a game that’s already balanced?

But look how long it took for those learning tools to come to Tekken. Tekken will be 5 years old soon. SC came out a year ago. They’re both bad at teaching the game lol.
Blame SC low budget, blame the lack of content creators on YouTube/ Twitch for SC, blame it’s awful online, etc.
Saying Tekken takes SC players is just false. SC is great now. It’s been steadily building itself up from a pretty crappy launch and is able to stand on its merit.

that purpose better go away in season 3 because its the biggest mistake in the games history.
1 balance patch a year
then immediately launch with the most broken dlc character
snapbacks
fuzzies
etc etc arhgaguoahseouns

Woah woah woah, let’s not get crazy, alright?
SC6 does have a tutorial mode and it isn’t complete garbage.
Tekken literally had nothing to teach you besides loading tips until the training mode patch. Not sure of what that one teaches because I don’t have the game to check for myself, but it sure ain’t a smooth learning experience without external resources.
I am not arguing that.
But I do see the advantage of staggered releases.
Dude, Twin is jewish, you should call him schlump or khamer or a putz.

I understand what Dark Phoenix mean but it’s gonna be tough to stagger content for tekken and Soulcalibur Imho. During Evo, both games are expected to have reveals. And the next one is the Soul Calibur invitational which was in November and Tekken world tour in December.
It’s so hard to stagger. Bringing forward the Soulcalibur invitational to October might help. But that’s too close to Evo. So I really don’t know lol.

I still defend a beta period for balance patches. Characters too, if you restrict them to Shill Pass holders.
One fucked up change is pretty much all it takes to make a season terrible, especially a universal mechanics one like the Snapback fuck up you mentioned.

I get why they say they want releases staggered, but it just seems unrealistic when they’re both bringing in players to main stage Evo and again, play nothing alike.
shit was hard to find and it’s pretty damn usless.
I found fucking nothing basically, which in a roundabout way is a point for staggering since content creators that cover what’s new might get some mileage out of a new patch.
side note, if the monkey man says to watch his SCVI stuff I am gonna buy a ticket to Canada to running elbow him in the face.

No it’s not. Wanna see an example? Push SC’s limelight to around Evo. Make it the big event, or even set the invitational to around the middle of the year. Tekken’s patch will already have dropped and you’ll have fresh news for the other 3D game.
Staggering releases isn’t hard at all. You have a full year, make use of it.

Unfortunately they’re almost no content creators for Soul Calibur. I can’t even point you to a channel to learn SC6.

Have to agree with Zio. The “tutorial” in SC6 is useless. The only reason I know how to play is because I had been playing since Soul Edge. And I had been using Taki all the way.
Still can’t A:6 consistently with her lol.

And yet Bardock and GT Goku are so meta-breaking/meta-defining that those two are featured in nearly every single fucking team at tournaments
and that’s the sad truth.
I do think there might be value to SCVI to release out of the major windows, it would be less hype, but we do have big lull periods during the year, it might be an avenue worth exploring.

My dude, the notes for each character literally form a basic gameplan for you.
I do agree that it should all be on the main menu, but come on, just because it’s a bit clunky, doesn’t mean it’s hot garbage.
Now that is a pretty big problem. I suppose I can look up the Discords I got for the game, but I agree that this is a pretty bad look.
Even if they exist, if they’re not known, they might as well not exist.

You got a point there. If there’s gonna be a season 3 for SC6, I hope they plan it better.
I need Setsuka.

Bardock and GT are amazing characters but they certainly aren’t broken. You guys throw around buzz words like snapback and fuzzies as if they aren’t universal. It’s like making the argument that everyone should only play Chun in 3S. That’s so dumb. There’s good and bad characters but when the bad have options to also beat the good, it makes for a balanced game.

Like there’s Luxium channel and kuri-kuri for high level matches.
Guides and beginner stuff? Shittt, Smrt f.o.n and I guess the monkey, but I haven’t seen SC on his channel recently.
Depends on your definition in “broken” in this case.
DBFZ characters are not as distinct as in other games, and many of the very best options in the game are universal. As a result, its less that GT Goku is “broken”, and more that GT Goku and Bardock invalidate half the cast. As in, there is no good reason to pick anyone outside of the top tier.
