Bison has to be actually mindful to press buttons against Gief, but a Bison that knows what he is doing can take on Gief way better than any Akuma player. It is a 5.5 MU for Gief in this case.
I know people say Menat shits on Abigail and such characters but at the same time it feels like if they land one knockdown then you’re done for unless you so lucky.

His run grab should be +2 on dash-up. Being only +1 means you get (mild) oki against 4 framers but only a light trade (and some character specific suff) on 3 framers. It’s pretty lame.
The other problem some people may not realize is that Abi’s tic throw game was butchered, so he can’t realy threaten unless the knockdown is fairly plus and he can be at point blank.

part of me hopes that ArcSys puts Strive out on PC with little to no delay alongside the PS4 release. The last few fighting games I’ve bought, I’ve bought on PC first then double-dipped for PS4 if I really like them and/or the player count fucking drops in online modes.
I really want to try it out as well.
He’s the epitome of mid tier imo.
I used to like using him (Necalli) instead of Birdie vs Dhalsim and Abigail.

I just don’t understand this mindset. You wouldn’t get into black metal for mass appeal. There’s plenty of other genres that appeal to wider audiences, people know what fighting games are, they’ve known what fighting games are for ages. If there’s gonna be a fighting game that gets mass appeal it’s because it’s gonna be really good, not because it’s watered down with a boring low skill ceiling.

There’s no way a character that has winning matchups against guile, Menat, dhalsim and some others be mid tier.
Urien has way more losing matchups than Necalli, likely Cammy too after her nerfs. If Necalli is mid tier, they are too.
