Based on this week and last, they don’t show them on Fridays and the weekend. Guess they too deserve some breaks.

TBH I see a lot to like in the team esports. The sheer complexity of the design space alone allows a lot to happen. I’d watch Rainbow Six Siege if I had the time.

I’m glad the article showed the reality of it all. But it’s a known thing to people who pay attention. It should just remind us that these games are a hobby and not a meal ticket. Your passion not a paycheck.
I think comparing fighting games to fortnite is a lost cause. It’s a once every generation sort of phenomenon. We simply don’t have the players or corporate interests to reach a 30 million dollar payout.
On steamcharts sfv concurrent player record is ~5k that was Feb 2016, I know that’s not taking ps4 into account but let’s just pretend it 10x that and we’ll say 55k total. Fortnite concurrent record is 8 million and something and they had 250 million registered users. So there it is lol.

Pretty good. Just outsold SF2. A lot more DLC planned. Etc etc.
So I just learned about this event that’s gonna be in my city next week. Sounds pretty cool since SNK is throwing in a pot bonus. Tournament is gonna have SamSho, DBFZ, Cross Tag, Smash, and another Smash Terry tournament. Basically, all Terry. It ain’t far from my old school. I might go to support even though I don’t really play any of those games.

They are putting a pot bonus for an event that happens next weekend here too.
And SamSho will qualify to the world tour in Japan automatically. It is probably the same way there.
