SF5 Lounge: Idom Wins. Only Poison is Woman enough for Capcom Cup

A few weeks but it was out of necessity. Playing on the floor or on a table was killing my back.

Thighs apart. Leaning slightly forward. Strong posture.

Yeah, not a lot of hobbies pay bills. Thats why eSports and quite frankly a lot of people in tgis scene have pissed me off with that shit ass opinion. For some god forsaken reason people either forgot, didnt understand or never saw the value in having a hobby. After 10-11 the convo turned into how eSports were needed to create a professional class in this community.

The people that really needed the help were the TOs on being able to have financially solvent events and running them better. That part of eSports has been the most beneficial. Everything else? Well apparently the official monitor of the last 3 years has a feature that introducez lag when used, thank you Logansama and all the other cunts who didnt say shit.

Welcome to eSports.

This. Just having tournaments that can actually pay their own bills so they can be sustainable is very good.

Oh my~

I can’t give accurate input on sticks per se, but based on me having this kind of issue with keyboards for PC, I’ll chime in with this:

Honestly, as long as you’re sitting correctly with your back straightened out, and your hands straight (to avoid wrists getting borked) you should be fine.

Do whatever it takes for your stick to be in a close and high enough position, even if you have to stack pillows beneath it.

I’ve been messing up CA and instant divekicks.

Messed up a few winning combos in rank just now and got pissed.

I’m now trying with stick on lap for tekken. Somehow I got used to it instantly. Even Korean back dashing is ok. Well not like my KBD is precise in the first place lol.

I think I gotta stick to it for the sake of my posture. Playing with stick on table isn’t good.

I think people tried to make a job out of it before figuring out if there was a need for the job. Meaning can advertising make enough money from viewers to support contracts and big money payouts.

Other genres can have giant payouts because they’re attracting extremely large crowds that view their events. Traditional fighting games have just too small of a playerbase to support other esports models.

Funny you say that…I owned a Dreamcast for a couple hours till my dad took it back (forget why) and grabbed a PlayStation lol.

Last question. Are your sticks closer to your body or more towards the knee?

Stick closer to body - stick more stable but uncomfortable for me

Stick more towards the knee - much more comfortable but the stick is wobbly asf.

I’m using the hori rap v4 so it’s a decent stick with decent weight.

Edit - oh god this gonna be rough.
Did 10 instant divekicks from the left side in practice mode. Only 1 came out.

Mine is on the middle of my thighs, I’m not a fighter pilot so I don’t like having my stick at a comfortable distance. Not a stenographer either so it isn’t on my crotch. I suppose it depends on the person. Hopefully you find what fits you.
Update: I actually played this game and won my first set. Thanks to the 0 people who believed in me.

Yeah my preferred position – – is kneeling on the floor – – with the fightstick on a coffee table. As long as your hands arms wrists line up with the controller and it doesn’t move and you’re comfortable then I imagine anything would work.

I didn’t watch the silly thing, I’m just answering TDPs question about why a nonFGC has a 20k Tekken stream.

Edit: that is a really good YouTube channel, btw. Covers all esports including Fgc

Yeah yeah, suck a nut. You’re basically in the 0.001% of the scene that can actually make a living on this.

I imagine the highest paid FGC person is probably Maximilian though.

Oh ok.

But see that’s the kinda shit i mean. Dude has a 20k tekken stream because he plays OW and wanted to dick around for a few minutes. His just chatting no gameplay jack off stream is getting what we get for majors lol.
