I can definitely see why people would be mad at Luke’s portrayal. To me he was a pretty simple character archetype in the original trilogy so I didn’t mind too much that they decided to turn him into the different archetype of the disgruntled master that withdrew from the world out of guilt, but I can see why people more invested in the series would seriously disagree with that and how he ended up going out in that movie. That’s probably one of the biggest issues people have with that movie.

I didn’t mind the casino world part and the Purple Hair Lady thing as much. It definitely felt contrived that Finn and Chubby Chinese Chick had to go on a different planet entirely while their fleet was being constantly bombarded the whole time, and pretty forced just for the sake of including the typical showcase of alien monsters Star Wars likes to do a lot of times, but I liked the little detail about how the arm dealers who own the place don’t just make money from selling weapons the First Order but the Resistance as well, and the whole segment didn’t overstay its welcome.

Purple Hair Lady never tells Pilot Guy that there’s a plan to evacuate the ship under the bad guys’ nose and that’s one of the reasons I feel like the movie’s attempt at subverting expectations with that subplot was very weak and a waste of time. The whole point of Purple Hair Lady was to appear antagonistic and confrontational at first and then turn out to be just a staunch Leia’s supporter who was probably just executing one of her plans, then die heroically. The writing around her is pretty weak, but I liked how it eventually led to the good guy’s plan backfiring and the First Order learning about the transports, that was already a way more effective twist.

The rest was pretty alright to me, even Snoke’s sudden death, and I really liked his design as a villain. The movie definitely tried very hard to constantly surprise the audience, and while it didn’t always worked out (like with Purple Hair Lady) it worked pretty well in other moments, at least for me (the buildup to Snoke’s death and Kylo Ren’s development into main villain were done a lot better in my opinion).

Pollum has too the downward Drill and the Drill upward is like Skullo or Doctrine which was on Cycliods too before Oro.

I vaguely remember seeing a vid with Tokido playing Urien in 3S.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Akuma got dropped to a sub. His Urien looking hella strong in those clips too.

You know what’s interesting about this situation is that he threw an EX fireball he probably didn’t need to throw. At 8 seconds in that clip, he has urien corner, he is throwing normals out there to stop him from hitting buttons, throws one hadouken and then an EX hadouken. Problem was that he was almost at full meter for super when the threw that EX hadou.

He could’ve just walk forward and gone for a throw or shimmied from there. Urien was just crouch blocking, didn’t have full v-trigger yet. But he spent extra meter for a little bit of the plus frames.

That was one mistake. You know, then he tried to walk back against Urien when knocked down and he had full v-trigger. That’s just the type of bad habit SF5 gives people who rely on fast walkspeeds to bail them out of shit. Watch your damn ankles.

Urien unblockables required certain knockdown situations. You also weren’t guaranteed to have the meter every round.

SF5 Urien is always on some bullshit, from the first to the last.

To be fair, SpaceBoy ended up winning that set, and he’s won the r/StreetFighter East Coast tourney two weeks straight beating a Urien in grand finals both times.
