I was in Orlando 3 weeks ago (and South Carolina 1 week ago) Florida is definitely better.
It’s not even that cold here, I know the guys from further north got it way worse.

Did this VT1C combo accidentally (F+HP ~ s.HK xx VT1C xx VS2, HP DP xx CA) in one of my matches against @Flack0 on Saturday (I meant to hit VS2, but activated VT1C by mistake, and then extended it from there).
As I mention in the tweet, it only works if F+HP CCs, but it’s not that uncommon - it happen again in a quick match I had this morning. Also, this works if you already have VT1 active (without the VT1C of course).
It was real fun finding this out by accident during a match though. Instantly became one of my best feelings in a fighting game.

Problem is people mistake clowning you over for things out of your control as “racism” because they don’t really pay attention to what’s going on. The amount of Mexican/Puerto Rican/Black/White jokes I’ve heard thrown in the FGC is hilariously high. At no point have I seen somebody actually mistreated for their ethnic background though.
SRK’s mods are Filipino, Black and Puerto Rican. Best player in the world in SF5 is a black guy. Our broadcasters for that finals were a white guy and a black guy from Foggy London Town…so where is the racism. Who is being kept down by the systemic barriers created in the FGC against them?
Are there likely to be some racist ass people who have gone to events? Probably. But that sure as hell isn’t an indictment of the scene as a whole. Like, who stopped going to Final Round because its a racist event?
Where the fuck is this racism happening? I bet its the twitch chat isn’t it? Probably it.

In my place somewhere in asia most people aren’t racist but like to stereotype there own kind. This people are easily triggered by racial attacks but they stereotype there own kind the most.

But apparently we have members out there struggling with racism in this scene.
The overwhelming amount of Majors in this community, at least for the US, are run by minorities but there are people struggling with racism in this scene. This means that the answer is obvious:
Black people are racist.
Change my mind.

We’re in agreement. My point was more towards people who demand that even good-natured ribbing among friends be curtailed, they don’t appreciate that it’s exactly that kind of nannying that causes resentment. Those people sensitive to ‘racism’ will see racism everywhere because:
a) They’re looking for it.
b) People are specifically pressing their buttons because they know they’re sensitive about it.
People really need to just fucking relax.

Bit of local stuff has popped up over the holiday. The smashers are moving locations to a newly-opened eSports franchised place that opened up. Of course, that’s got our old FGC heads thinking about it too; with one firmly against the idea. Their prices are fucking terrible, and they’re charging monthly fees for memberships at this joint.
