SF5 Lounge: Idom save us, X-Kira damned us and Seth is waifu

Not really.

I did a shammy though.

Other bad things doesn’t make Noel any less of an awful person.

Can’t think of anyone else who has the history of physical and sexual assault he does and nobody bats an eye.

That would be pretty good actually

Narcissism. By throwing other people under the bus by painting them as the bad guys, and simultaneously defending the (alleged) victim group, you manifest yourself as the ‘good guy’. It has nothing to do with altruism, it’s merely a self-aggrandizing ego trip.

Recycling tired old platitudes such as ‘respect POC and LGBT’ really has no other purpose than to prop yourself up. When is the last time that an ethnic or homosexual person in the FGC was harassed to a point where it made you think: “We really don’t have sufficient (unwritten) rules against this sort of behavior.” Imagine if a player turned out to be a card-carrying member of the Klan or something, he’d be excluded from every major and minor tournament and effectively banned from the community.

Its hard to say. SRK had a gay thread since…04 or 05. There were a lot of gay members way back. But way back people use to scream f-gg-t at Ricky O during tournaments during top 8s (probably not to hate on him because he was gay, just saying shit to unsettle him when playing a homie but not a good look).

Overall though, its hard ro say that this community actually has issues with LGBT people. Im pretty sure there are dudes who’ve brought their outside bullshit into the scene, but there are way too many trans peoppe in this scene to say that LGBT people arent included.

Gllty really fucked shit up though. Trans AND handy. Ruined and continued narratives about the scene simultaenously.

smash players should start a “respect the smelly” movement because smashers who don’t shower and smell like shit are descriminated against.

Also like seriously, inclusiveness is basically the least issue of the FGC compared to every other community. I can’t think of any other gaming scene as diverse on every possible level.

Yeah, I’ve touched on that before. FGC is very inclusive, its just also very abrassive.

People mistake the willingness to give it to you raw as being unwelcoming.

What you gonna do?

The most quotable phrase of the season.

I never saw it as an issue in the FGC in the first place tbh :man_shrugging:

Ha. Well, while you are restarting I want to bitch again about how much I hate the “up close” part of SFV.

You don’t like me throwing out a safe CC 1000 times a round?

You mean ibuki’s fHK? Nah, that move is BS but not what I was talking about.

I just really don’t like the strike/throw/shimmy thing, and it being the only functional mixup most of the time doesn’t help

@Vhozite I’m doing random select now.
