All of you fools just can’t do links lol. No sense of timing and coordination in those crappy fingers I see. If you don’t like links got play Mahvel with your ABCS combos.

For the stage transitions concerns, it’s possible they might only trigger after a K.O.

Anyway, I’m liking what I’m seeing, and I’m looking forward to seeing more. Chun-Li’s super looks sick btw.

You are right, I forgot about this power stance that seems to be in this game. Anyways, it still supports my belief that this takes place after SF3. If this is the case I really hope Ken’s son Mel is in this game!

Alot of people I guess want to have each new SF like SF2. A simple Fighter, 1 bar for 1 move, sprites to return, and no flashy lights or whatnot. Basically a…not sure what to call it. I for one enjoy all the

Does that make you…master of da fingers?

But really keep links. Give me something to practice toward. You know me and me anti BC’ing ways fist.

Keep in mind that all of Capcom’s official promotional trailers for SFIV featured exaggerated zooms that weren’t part of the actual game. If they are adhering to the same style for V’s trailers, expect those crazy zoom ins to be purely for dramatic effect for the trailer itself. Check out the initial character reveal trailer for Ultra - particularly the Hugo sequences - you can see it at work there also.

SFIV has some subtle zoom ins however that don’t negatively impact that game too much - a good example is Zangief’s SPD and I believe a similar subtle zoom occurs with Honda’s ochio.

I’m hoping that’s the case ;-;… atm it’s really hard to tell. It might be useful to do a frame-by-frame view of the part Chun transitions the stage to see if Ryu wakes-up, even if it’s one specific frame.

Problem with tight links is not the link itself, I dislike them because the tight links in combination with autoguard on block+big reversal windows+ultra/special shortcuts like in SFIV puts a retarded burden on the attacker.

I feel like if Street Fighter V doesn’t let you mash shit while blocking and/or has lots of combos which are true block strings, I’m fine with insane execution requirements on long combos, though I’m not a fan of that.

I’d prefer short, damaging combos that aren’t hard to pull off and a few hard combos that do a bit more damage, for the Sakonoko’s out there.
I feel like easy to execute bread and butter punish combos are important.
I dislike requiring players to train a bread and butter for month so they get decent damage out of their punishes.

Then everyone would probably turtle more because they don’t want to get hit by easy dmging combos. I think they should make a “lock out” system to reversals. If you fail to properly time a reversal you get locked out to preform another one for 2 secs.

Imho at 0:39 Ryu is using an alt stance syle like Gen does

That thing don’t seem to give him any effect (example armor) or visual status (thunders and shit)

my 2 bets

1-normal switchable alt style a la Gen

2-different stance is a visual way to show the character is in the “power-up” mode some said, without use thunders out of his ass

I personally hope for 1, it will be cool if they keep the traditional Ryu on the traditional stance and try experimenting new shit on the new one

I see some people are concerned that the wall break would lead to a stage transition that puts the attacker in the corner once the animation is finished, but what if it’s just a stage extension instead? It reminded me of the bath house stage in MvC1 that opened up to something looking like Honda’s old stage and simply extended the stage for the rest of the match. So it’s possible both the attacker and opponent would have space behind them and result in a somewhat neutral position (with the attacker having much more room behind them to work with).

Could be taking a page from the tekken series with characters having different stances then. that would be cool. It would make Juri even more awesome.

HYPED!!!

Spoiler

not :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s his super, you moron. He clearly says Denjin during the super flash.

No need for name calling and no its not his Super.

Can I just say that the voice acting is AWESOME!!!

Some graphical details on the models need cleaning up I feel but everything else is just beautifu, the gameplay is especially HOT… I also hope this does take place after SF3, I want to see the future dammit!

If it’s not a super then what is it?

It looks like his power stance fire ball.

My question is the rest of the roster? It takes place a few years after SFIII. Will we finally see Q unmasked? Will Oro go to toe-to-toe with Gouken over the right to train Ryu? Seth vs. Urien vs Gill since it’s obvious these three are nothing but palette swaps? Will M.Bison return? The story & roster is what I am excited for. What I am not happy is that Capcom screwed over Xbox1 fans.

That’s definitely his super. It’s the exact same shot of him hitting Chun Li with it in the first teaser trailer. Skip to 1:01 to see it:

In the gameplay trailer from today, you can see his normal hadouken which has no lightning (0:31) and the powered up version with lightning (0:52), both of which are smaller than the super version in the screenshot you posted:

Chun SA2 into jump fierce.

Ryu cr.mk into Denjin.

I am hard as fuck now.
