If you end up getting eliminated before 8 then its doable. I ended up getting eliminated within an hour of playing through four rounds of the first tournament. At least 3 to 4 games should be able to be played within the first hour, so I say go for it.
Also if the reg gets capped at 24, how are you gonna decide which 8 people get first round byes. Randomly or based on results of first tournament? We could also introduce a point system for seeding the brackets for future tournaments.
