BTW, if anyone wants to bring systems, sticks, and games–it’ll be greatly appreciated. We wouldn’t set them up in the open until after “closing time” when I lock the front door and we establish who will be watching over which areas and what not.
I’d really like to get as many stations going tonight as possible so everyone can get a lot of practice in on their game of choice.
For PS2 or DC games, a CRT monitor will be excellent, but an extension cord will be a must for those types of stations.
We will have a decent number of stations, but the more the merrier tonight

First off, I want to wish Portland/Vancouver/Salem THE BEST this weekend at the Northwest Majors!
I’m looking forward to hearing how you guys did, who you met up and hung out with, and that you guys had an awesome time! I can’t make it out there this year because of obligations, but I will make efforts to go to future events
The last couple of weeks have been great at the Fight Night sessions and the SF4 Tournament on Saturday. I want to give a long overdue thanks to the players for making all of those nights great!
We had a decent number of people show up on 8/13 for a good session of SF4, BlazBlue, and KOF XII.
18 players came out to the tournament including friends of some of the regulars who showed they had game, even if some of them didn’t play SF4 much.
This week’s session was a fun session with lots of SF4, some HD Remix because some of us needed a break from SF4, some KOF XII because I like the game too much (thanks to Val, Panda, and Pasqual for humoring me and playing lots of KOF with me), and… more SF4!
I apologize if people wanted me to play more SF4, I played a decent amount earlier in the day before most of the people showed up and I was just kind of SF4’d out for the evening.
With the seriousness of the tournaments looming on the weekends last week and this week, the Fight Nights were more of casual social nights, but I enjoyed everyone’s company very much.

Good games to everyone last night, special thanks to Ray for the handling he gave me as it shed some light on my play (although if you’ve got any more tips I wouldn’t say no).
Rose Ball coming up, two new players last night and I know that Chanchai was dying to try. Thanks again to Ray for the ideas regarding the rule formats, I’ll be discussing them in the Rose forums on here to see if we can get a universal rule set going.
