i’d say go for XBL because:
- much easier to play against friends online
- great online community “you get what you pay for”
- awesome exclusives.
- off topic but tekken 6 will be coming to XBL and hopefully MvC2

360 exclusives suck when compared to LBP or MGS4.
Tekken 6 will be horrendous with a 360 controller.
Plus batman can beat up superman and I have way more pokemon cards in my lunch box.

Seriously, the console war is kind of a joke. As BrentoBox pointed out, SFIV is practically identical on both systems. Complaints (and praise) for both online services are made. Either way, you’re getting a system that gives you online play of SFIV… and either way… you’re gonna want an arcade stick.
$360 has a cheaper buy-in rate, but the lack of (cheap) PS2->360 adapters is gonna offset that a bit if you wanna use an arcade stick that wasn’t originally made for the 360.
You should definately go with the Xbox 360 version. For sure. No question.
You can argue with fanboy hatred which console is better all you want, but the fact is that if you want to play against MOST of the good players in the NW you definitely need the Xbox 360 version.

I had both, but my 360 recently redringed. I’m just short of a thousand matches on psn now and haven’t seen any problems that weren’t on the 360.
Provided you install the game on your ps3, they’re exactly the same.

Yeah… The only difference is that ps3 doesn’t support native upscaling to 1080p which really amounts to jack.
