yeah I cant find anyone to play. apprently there is no “more skilled” player anymore. I cant even find some “same skill” ppl either. then when I do find some they just randomly kick me out of the room without any reason. online faggotry never ends…

yeah, I really need to start adding people on srk. The same thing keeps happening. Playing sf4 online is a chore now.
I have had NO problems finding matches as opposed to when SF4 first came out.
If anything, it has gotten better as the people with super laggy connections probably gave it up completely.
Plus, I have a bunch of friends so I am always getting invites to play…its almost annoying…almost.
I have problems on Ranked Matches, especially when i create a match…its like a 10-15 min wait.
Dats why i moved to Player Matches…catch a match less than a minute.
I don’t have any problems finding games. But it seems like I’m always matching up with the same people now. Not seeing many new faces.
I realized my issue =p
My online settings were set to best connectivity.
Everyday was a smaller and smaller population.
I guess one of the things i did notice however, was back when the game first came out, I have my arcade mode set to accept anyone. And I couldn’t get into an arcade game without there being a new challenger after new challenger.
It’s a bit different now though.

There’s definitely a decrease in players…if you follow major nelson’s blog you’ll see SFIV has dropped out completely of the top 10 games on Live Activity since the first week of March
The decrease is obvious, casuals wouldn’t of stayed playing the game since long after launch for long periods of time. Most of the time i play with people from my friends list now.
sometimes, but the competition is a lot more scarce on PSN than XBL, in my experience
it’s only natural, there’s a few select people who are exceptional at the game, and there is the group of casual gamers that give it a try for a couple days and then give up (which there is nothing wrong with). and the latter group is only getting larger.
I’m playing on PSN and having no problems at all, so I’m not sure how you guys are doing so badly over on XBL.
I moved back to HD Remix for the most part.
Though, when I do feel like playing some SF 4, going to Arcade Mode and activating challengers usually is the best choice. Might as well practice some combos on a dummy before you play against others.
for me it is harder to find matches on psn than xbxlive, takes more searches on psn and when i create match noone joins.
I play every night and I have NO problem finding great matches…you guys who are having problems…I can’t imagine why. I don’t live in a big metro area either, where its 100x easier to find lag free matches.
maybe cause…online sucks?..and weakens the little depth this game has by turning it into a turtling match to see who can throw more lmao…
Online sucks, it’s still the same after the update. I always have to play against players who are a lot better than me and the lag is fucking up nearly every game. You can’t block shit online, it’s just not possible to block on purpose.
I have yet to play in a ranked match so I have an official BP of 0!
I find plenty of player matches though.
