Happened to me against an Abel player, I honestly had no IDEA how to get out of it lol I guarded the cross up then like lp then BAM tornado thrown

Protip for you guys here.

1. Go to training mode, and choose your character and the character you have trouble against.
2. Set to Record Mode
3. You will be controlling your opponent for 10secs, so do whatever you have trouble on for 10secs.
4. Playback

There. I just saved a good percentage of you guys from complaining about no answers to lariat/shoryuken/bicycle kick/tiger knee chain/dive kick/etc. spammers.

Players who run the entire match and rather lose with no time left then die trying to win. I played this Ken who got a lead and then just kept jumping backwards. I got frustrated and lost because I blindly attacked him. I ran into him again and this time I got a good life lead and stayed on my side of the screen and waited to see if he would attack. He didn’t, he hurled fireball one after another until the round ended due to time. The same thing almost happened in the 2nd round, but I managed to put him in the corner and finish him.

This isn’t turtling, this is running away. They want to play cat and mouse and be chased the entire match. Why would anybody play like this?

I agree, Akuma is the worse, jump back throw fireball, I am not kidding, I played a guy today, that is all he did, he jumped backwards until he got in the corner, and jumped and threw fireballs nonstop, never hitting me, I just stood the entire screen away and watched, the 1st round ended with tie with neither of us losing any health. 2nd match, he does the same thing, I run underneath a fireball, light punch him twice, run away, and he proceeds to continue jump fireball until times runs out…and this guy had like 11,000 GP…wtf?

Well as a Cammy player, I think my one major peeve is the jab defense. Seems like a simple spam of the Jab button kills every one of her moves. I had a Rog player literally corner me by jabbing. I couldn’t do anything. Trying to pull of a Spike in that scenario sucks! Just finished playing a Ryu who stopped an SA, Hooligan, and Spin Knuckle all with a jab. I think it’s cool that there’s a normal move to counter with but the fact that it beats out most moves is lame. Plus what the guy said about FA as well. It’s tough to incorporate it with the jab spammers out there. FADC is the only real useful tool IMHO. But I’m no pro so…
