I made some Chun Li cols that accept higher resolution textures if you want to take another shot at your Alpha costume mod:
Chun Li hires cols.zip

I left her face textures at the existing res, but bumped up the others to match from 512x512 to 1024x1024. Hopefully this will get rid of those jaggies you were talking about. If not, let me know and I can bump the resolution up even higher. I included modified cols for both normal and alt 1 costumes.

Is their a way to extract the battle.eaf the compress again? I have a jtag and wanted to experiment with getting the skins to work on the 360.

I think someone over at the Xentax forums mentioned being able to recompress everything down to a battle.eaf but they weren’t able to do the normal emz compression so the eaf was showing up as the wrong size/corrupted. However, I think mastasushi recompresses his files with no problem, so maybe you could ask both of them and do both procedures. If you need links to the appropriate Xentax threads, they’re posted on the wiki on the SSF4 page.

btw, I’m not sure how SRK feels about jtags and console jailbreaking, so if you hear from a mod, you might have to edit/delete your post. I know they have plenty of legit uses unrelated to piracy (such as modding, obviously) and it probably won’t be an issue, but I just figured I’d let you know.

Hello everybody.

I hope this hasn’t been answered yet.

I know that i can use custom skins and play online without having any fear of getting banned. But my question is, what about the SSFIV alternate 2 customs? These are actually no custom skins.

To make it short. Can i use the SSFIV alternate 2 customs without fear of getting banned?

I hope you understand what i mean because my english is not the best.

as far as I know, it always thinks it’s loading the normal costumes, even if it’s some funky backported SSF4 costume or a one that’s had its model jumbled up or whatever. All of the changes are local only and won’t show up on the other end; the game doesn’t even “know” that anything has changed on your end.

Sure bro you can use without fearing to be banned, they’re customs “skins” and custom “Models”!
I’m playin’ Online here,usin’ them all without any problem!!
There is only one weird thing:
When i win the first round,using DeeJay Adidas Jamaica pants that i’ve made to replace Ryu,i got disconnect some times!
Always when the “victory pose” starts.If i skip it,i don’t got any disconnect!
May be something about Cos file Animations. :S

Thank you for the reply, I having been reading different forums and got the battle.eaf extracted with no problems. I have edited some skins and now I am going to try to boot them. So far I can’t find any info on compressing the folders back in to one eaf file, I was wondering if anyone knew of a work around for compressing the folders back I couldn’t find any info on that?
