Hey,

is it possible to use one skin for all colours? I tried to rename the skin-file for all the original outfit-colour-file and my game went crazy oO it started then it crashed. I had to remove it.

So how can i use one skin for all colour, is it possible?

I haven’t tried it, but I imagine it’s possible:

  1. open the desired color file using piecemontee’s Asset Explorer to decompress it (skip this step if you’re using a mod skin, which are already decompressed)
  2. make 9 copies of the decompressed *.col.emz file.
  3. rename the files to the appropriate numbers.
  4. open the files with a hex editor and edit them according to these instructions:

Here’s a question for you guys who are actually good at this.

Do you think it’s possible to restore the original beta effect (pupils dissapearing instead of that strange darkening all over) on Abel’s eyes when he does his ultra? If it helps, his pupils do dissapear when he gets knocked out.

No, i dont think it can. Since i modified both alternate model and colour…
Though now that i am looking at it, if i modify the original costume , remove her jacket there and change her pants, wouldnt it look exactly the same?

I really like the fabric weave pattern you used on that Ken skin. I think it adds a level of realism that flat, solid color swatches can miss.

people sometimes take requests, but that would actually be really easy to do yourself if you were interested. Mastasushi has written a really great tutorial on portrait modding that you can follow step-by-step:

If you want to use that exact Zangief pic, you’ll probably want to enlarge it. This program can help do that without getting jaggies and artifacts:

that’s right, once you got the application installed and you’re used to it
making portrait takes you 20min maximum
