Problems with Specularity

@hunterk I know that Domino(cammy mod) from Ingalook uses specular HEX changes for sure. I opened the files and all.

yeah, you’re right. I would look toward the Spc_Bump_Brush replacement method and see if that helps. I know that’s how people have added glares to other body parts, so maybe it works the same way…?

I think Ingalook might also post over at the gamevixenzone forums (along with several other of the major modders), but I haven’t been over there in quite a while to know whether that modding scene is still active.

Finally figured out how to make the different body parts share the same material!!!

I took a long look at Ingalook’s Domino mod for Cammy and then it dawned on me.

yeah, I know what you mean about the staff on the cheatara mod. I’ll try to edit that later today. For the other colors, though, the original model should look great (it’ll get rid of that thundercats logo from the normalmap, too).

what I try to do with c.viper you did well done, amazing (I mean tits).
on your question in the section if you could put a model but you have to respect the number of vertices and points.

the problem is that the file which are read the bones closely linked with the model and I understand why you can not add more vertices to the model (I think this comment as these others and your drive).

someone would have to be patient and see how to decouple these two elements, namely that goes with it and not know what else.

Honestly, I never downloaded them. I caught a preview of them on Youtube, looks great but the staff didn’t do it for me, so I passed. I’ll try it out tonight.

GREAT! Thank you that you share these findings with us. But one question for me still remains … How do I add or increase the shining of a material? If I want want to make a shiny Rose, and none of Roses materials shine very much… how can I hex it so that they DO shine???

Does anyone know how to do this?

@Sikanda What I was doing before I HEX edited the cos.emz I was copy and pasting the material types from cammy’s leotard and pasting it into Sakura’s Buruma color file. I was getting results but I really liked the skin shader material specularity so I ended up using that. The one problem I found was that in the color file, any piece that had the skin shader had more lines of code hence changing the file size with the copying and pasting process. This would crash in game. So we have some room to maneuver but it’s pretty tight.
