Download the Costume Mod Manager: http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=201403 To get buttons to display, you first have to set the SF4 install directory. After that, it’s very easy to set any downloaded skin in the 01 slot for original or alternate. Just click add costume if it uses a custom model, then click add color to add skin- here you tell the program what model to apply the skin to. You can also set the vfx file for custom effects.

now i have another problem:
i’ve made a alternate costume mod (02.cos.emz) and a color pack of all 10 colors for this mod. I’ve replaced the original costume (01.cos.emz) and original color file (01_01.col.emz) with my alternate costume mod (02.cos.emz) and the 1st color (02_01.cos.emz) using SF4CMM, is there a way to replace the other 9 original color files, with my edited alternate color files?
do it myself using what tools? listed where??

The CMM always applies the cos and col to the first color slot, so there’s not really any way to include all 10 colors except as separate entries in the program.
Related to your earlier question, there’s no real way to “convert” a cos_02 to a cos_01. Skins that have been “converted” have actually just been recreated using the other costume as a base.
However, if you want to take your cos_02-based skin and make it and all of your colors appear in the cos_01 slots, you can rename and hex-edit them to have the cos_01 names and just overwrite the others (this was the ghetto method some people used to get the alternate costumes before the DLC pack came out). Feel free to PM me if this explanation is confusing and I’ll try to clarify.

Glad you got a solution- was gonna say the same thing as hunterk, that for slots 2-10 or for applying alternate skins as original you have to hex edit the files and not just rename them. Bear in mind tho that they will all use the same .cos.emz file, so if you have a custom char model in the 1 slot, the other skins won’t appear on screen correctly. For instance, if you have 1-10 of Hot Pants Chun Li and you want to use, say Catwoman instead, it will apply 2-10 .col to the Catwoman .cos.emz and will be a hot mess. It’s just one of those things…
