Stages
Is it possible to use the SF2 hd remix stage backgrounds if it were implemented right? Also do they have a special stage editor that I could tinker with?
PS. Can’t wait for the new skins TUNDRA, I been fiending for them!!
well you can edit stages the same way you edit characters, but there isn’t any stages that just one texture for the background and one for foreground. you would really, really have to tinker with it, hide most of the fore ground objects so you only have the background and floor. the training stage won’t cut it either
You can’t move things in the stage. Everything will get distorted, moving objects will turn into sticks. Unless there is a way to edit paths, even then it is really complicated.
If anyone has worked with the .dds files in the HUD or MENU, please tell me what DTX format you saved them in that worked in game… I’m having trouble with the outlines, they are not saving in detail.
p.s. I’m almost done, I’m working on menus and hud right now and its a pain, but after that I plan on doing some things with my Fight Money Balrog to make a nice pack…
but you might be able to hide them, with alphachannels maybe i will try to do this in a new mod. tundra, pm Intimus, the guy who made the alt character portrait mods maybe he can help you cause he modded the sort of thing you are trying to mod

Its not working. I’m saving in PS, its “8.8.8.8 ARGB 32bpp | unsigned”. I get the same error I’ve been getting when I don’t use DTX1 1 bit.

Thought I’d try my hand at modding something for the first time ever, and made the following discovery: it’s easier than I thought to do badly, but harder than I imagined to do well.
The fruits of my humble labor: [media=youtube]qmEItlahcEk[/media]. I’m a Vega player, and I thought that a Gill-style duality theme might look pretty great on him. I think it turned out okay, although there are still several things that bug me about it (those pixelated tattoos refuse to magically fix themselves).

what files are you working with exactly?
use nvidia tools (wtv.exe) to see what its saved as after you extract it.
I’m editing the files in ryu’s hud (0000000003#infuser#524672.dds) cockpit, announce, result, face etc…
When I save the files, this is what setting I’m using in PS

Okay the menu picture says its in DTX5 format… But the hud is in the 32 argb8888, which I tried and it won’t let me load.

edit: enfaite si ton truk ca peux marcher mais les ptits bonnet faut pas les enlever car si tu les vires ca va modifier le fichier cos, faut les rendre transparant la ca modifie le fichier de la couleurs comme ca pour celui la il y aura les oreilles et les autres le bonet par dessus
