japanese sticks in that cabinet is a horrible idea. we are not the only ones who will be playing on it and they wont stand up to the abuse. im sure they dont have the time to work on the cabs every day just like gameworks so just stock up on the happs or get some p360’s and call it a day.
you will get used to the buttons being hella far. just play on it more
I played it, and I didnt think the buttons were too far away, the stick was odd for me, I hate bat sticks, and I didnt think the diagnol motion was right but it is still cool to see an SFIV machine so close to me.
I might actually hit this up sometime. Brent, if you feel like going sometime hit me up?
Reasons this is tight:
50 cents
Closer than GW
No card bullshit, just quarters!
Wangan Machines close by
If only we could get a bloody ST cab somewhere in Seattle. If there was ST at Acme I SWEAR I would be there like a fucking FIEND.
edit: About the sticks, you guys it doesn’t matter whatsoever how many male pins there are on the current stick to see what kind you can put inside. The only thing that matters is if the stick can easily be mounted on a WOODEN control panel. Even if it uses a harness and not individual switches, a monkey could splice a 5 pin harness into where a Happ used to be. I am sure Bill knows how to do this.
Pat, Ghrrk, myself, and Frank were there randomly last night and the sticks on both sides were in horrible condition. On the first player side, you can’t crouch block in either direction and on the second player side you can’t do anything with a back directional input. So no blocking, no crouch blocking, no jumping backwards. It was real bad. Also, is there anything we can do about the dragon punch machine? That thing really needs to be moved. Hard to concentrate when you’re getting startled every couple of seconds.
I see someone called in a bad stick yesterday, and our techs were there. Hope it’s better for the moment. But yes, we would like to replace both sticks. Please come up with a choice from the Lizardlick web site, and we will get them ordered. Being a wood control panel, of course the stick needs to be a bit longer as the assembly is further below the top of the games control panel. Please post here what you would like after everyone agrees on their best possibility of a decent stick.
Thx,
Bill
Heads up!
I was Acme today, and noticed our tech’s replaces both joysticks on Sunday. In switch input test, they all were looking good at all 8 positions. But that does not mean shit when it comes down to how they are going to fell to the players that know the game. please give a heads up on what you guys think of them? Maybe good, or maybe we still need to order sticks of everyones majority vote choosing. Either way, we just want to provide you guys with good sticks.
Sorry about the button layout being too far apart. We are sort of stuck with that, as no wood left to drill out to make for the proper spacing. But the sticks, however is doable.
Thx,
Bill
So who’s all going and what time? I’m trying to lone wolf into Sushi land again (and maybe meet another girl like last time LOL) and then head to Acme to play SF4.
I’m going right after work so I assume I’ll be at Sushi land at around 5pm. Then, after eating I’ll be at Acme.
