When I had a PS3 and Soul Calibur it offered to shift some data to the Hard Drive from the options menu but it didn’t transfer the full game. I dont think the 360 version’s do this. Usually you must just go to the tab that says Play “Whatever Game” and press Y.
I must have been thinking the PS3 version then.
I still bought one, it was worth it.
And to answer the OP’s question like everyone else, it will work.:woot:
You can always buy a 120gb laptop drive from newegg and hack it to work.
Costs around $60 last I checked.
my friend bought one for me to do it for em, but he keeps forgettin to bring it
alright hanks guys im gonna go rent from blockbuster or borrow from someone. quick question, do you know if blockbuster marks their discs. ehhh
Yup, i did it with mine, just google HDDhackr.
Just do like I do for all of my games that are scratched up. Rent it from Blockbuster then call them about an hour later saying the game won’t work and take back your messed up copy while keeping theirs. You get a free rental and a new disc out of it. All of the Blockbuster stores around here quit marking their discs when consoles went to cd/dvd instead of cartridge.
Smooth…
Fraud.
Great info, this will save my SF4 disc.
You still need to leave the game disc inside? I was hoping to use this so I wouldn’t have to keep swapping discs.
This is also known as fraud.
Very nice. Then the next poor sap gets to rent your screwed up disc. Why not just take care of your games? That is shady… especially to brag about.
Rented from blockbuster and intalled it to my hard drive. Afterwards selected the option to play from the hard drive, inserted my original ink stained disk when it ask for it. Worked like a charm. I no longer get dropped from online matches randomly because of disc read errors.
You only need the disc to verify you own the game. After you insert the disc, it never reads from it again. All the information is loaded from your hard drive.
That’s great, I’m glad it worked out for you.
Did this 3 times, mine,my brothers and one of my co-works simple really saved me what 100 bucks.
Ahh…I was hoping I’d be able to backup my games and not have to worry about switching discs when I’m in the mood for a different game. Plus I’m not the only one who uses it so it would’ve been nice.
As if M$ would’ve allowed you to do that!
Every man & his dog would be dumping any borrowed games they could find to their HDD’s. :looney:
