Actually, I’ve seen more Dans than FeiLongs on the pc platform, making him actually the most underused character.

Just like most Cammys and Sakuras have disappeared lately because they switched back to their main. Sure, a lot of them can do cool combos as punishment like pros but they don’t have a good idea of how to use other tools in other situations.
(like how some Ryus can pull out dp>fadc>ultra consistently but still keep losing.)
FeiLong’s combos are even tougher to pull out than those two characters imo.
So even Justin did well with FeiLong, and a lot of people are going to give him a try, I bet they’ll give up pretty quickly.
I don’t understand why people want a faster command grab by doing this all the great setups are thrown out the window

Tenshin is not meant to be a 2 frames start-up command grab.
It has been designed for the setups we found and I find even more useful that way because it forces you to use it only time to time making it always unexpected.

Tenshin should also grab crouch kicks. I mean look at the animation. C’mon.

Was writing in another thread when these ideas came to mind:
-Remove CW; Replace Dash Warp a la Yang from 3s
-Decrease start-up of Rekkas by 1 or 2frames
-Decrease start-up of low roundhouse or increase hitstun of low jab (sweep link vs crouchers outside of close stand strong > sweep; 1frame rekka links become 2framers)
Rekkas don’t HAVE to armor-break. 2 Jab Rekkas are about 14fr, so they typically interrupt lvl2 anyway.

Faster WALK SPEED! I’m soooo sick of someone just walking up to me and throwing me while I’m walking back from a half screen away…Fei is soooo freakin SLOW! His dash has too much recovery as well…it’s not very useful to position himself b/c it doesn’t move you very far and plus too much recovery. So you’re better off jumping and risking getting anti aired or walking towards your opponent like a freakin slow ass grandpa turtle. UGH!
Actually I think Fei only need some frame tweakings (forward dash…horrible), better flamekick and fdacing the first rekka.

The only opponent who can fa my rekka consistantly is the cpu =P
Really, I swear it can do it at least 95% of the time. Luckily it doesn’t punish you after that though.
dude the CPU tries to Focus EVERYTHING. Even Ultras sometimes.
So true, I’ve been able to get the cpu focus 70% of thier life before they get properly hit. Just a small game I play while I wait for opponents online
The CPU is also extremely susceptible to being hit by focus attacks. It’s like the devs wrote the AI in a way that allowed us to see the focus attack in action a lot when we first start playing.
Also, he needs a better ultra on top of getting a new one. I mean what’s the point of giving him a rekkaken type ultra when he already has a rekkaken super which does more damage and connects way easier? It’s not like his ultra comes out any faster either(10 frames which is the same as his super)…not to mention it has LESS range and doesn’t always connect correctly. They should’ve given him a Shien kick ultra or something so we can focus dash cancel into it!
Well the theme of Ultras are a “SUPER super”. so of course its gonna be a rekka move.
I would of liked his ultra better if the first hit had more range, like MP rekka range.
maybe they’ll bring back one of his supers from SFA3. like the Shinryuken-like super or his lvl3 only super.
His current Ultra is his “lvl3 only super” from A3. I’m sure he’ll get his anti-air flamekick Ultra in SSF4.
I like the way Fei Long plays at the moment but Capcom could fix a few things for him

[]Ultra connects fully after the 1st hit like Abel so we can juggle into it. That would improve Fei Long’s damage potential so much, which is the main thing he somewhat lacks…especially for a rush down character.
[*]More range OR more frame advantage on Tenshin. Or change the range/frame advantage based on what kick type is used. For Abel, the light punch command grab does the least damage but gives him the biggest range. I would like Fei Long’s light kick Tenshin to have the longest range but give us the smallest frame advantage. Practically speaking…theres very little difference between the 3 kick buttons at the moment. Only the Ex version is really worth using in a match.

PS: Its funny how Abel, a copy of Fei Long essentially, has a more effective move set than the original character he is based on.
