SF x Tekken PC update?

Ah, that’s a good point. At the very least it does sound like they actually started working on it.

First priority for me is the netcode. Without it the game is worthless. I don’t play fighting games offline so except for a few hours in trial mode (after release I still had hope that the netcode would be fixed soon) I didn’t invest any more time into the game.
Honestly I don’t get it why there are threads here like “PC SFXT - Recommending Competition” or “PC Sunday! SF X TK PC Sessions” or even all the mods for the game. Yeah, I also had a few matches which seemed fine but really every match without exception was laggy at least on one side. So why would I even consider to buy any DLC before I can play the game properly.

I know it seems impossible at times, but it is actually possible to have good connections on PC and have it be playable for both sides. Sure it’s not optimal, but you work with what you’ve got essentially, and the guys that have made those threads/lobbies are doing that.

The Sunday PC sessions have been a really good thing, right now it’s the only way I can play some people, personally (since there is some cross over between people that are PSN or XBL only, but likely have the PC version on deck too).

That just seems like the exact wrong way to look at those threads and those mods. Yes, the netcode isn’t good, but if you’re looking for an optimal play experience you’re playing offline anyway.

Yeah they are either pushing for faster updates or they mentioned that to string our hopes on once more.

I’d honestly rather have the DLC characters just so I can finally have the whole roster on my PC, but at the same time, I’m really hoping Capcom have fixed the netcode so all this teleporting shit can be put to rest. Not counting on it though but we can only hope.

For me the Netcode is a real priority. I only play this game with a friend (so 2’s) and if you thought playing 1v1 was bad with a full bar. try playing 2’s. The game doesn’t like more then 2 people being connected and against friends who live Just down the road. with full bar. We get constant lag spikes/teleporting/crap like that. It’s just unreal, now that’s on a good connection, on a bad one It’s near impossible. How do you react to something on wakeup when they’re stood on the ground nearly all the time and at the last Split second you see them appear above your head. or behind you. or next to you and you have to instantly decide to tech, block high. DP. it’s like… My god…

I just really hope the netcode gets fixed, because honestly I like the game alot better then SF4 purely because I’m a casual fighting game player, and I enjoy playing with my friends, and bitching at him when he tags in off one of my combos that was Going to kill them, Wastes a full super, it gets blocked and he dies. Stuff like that makes the game awesome but with the netcode like it is…

I don’t have an Xbox nor Ps3 so I can’t play on the Ps3 where shits fine. PC is my only option :frowning: (and there aint that many fighting games where you can play on a team with a friend for PC…)

so i did some editing in the menu scripts:

  1. the game starts directly at SFxT Title Screen (no more intros, save warning crap)
  2. after an Endless Lobby match ends, it goes straight to Stage Select, skipping character select (like a bootleg Rematch function :D)… [S]but i didn’t have anyone to test this with :<[/S]

Don’t understand what the second one does, But the first one actually sounds really cool. Something like that would be nice just on it’s own.

The first one sounds awesome, second one isn’t exactly universal but could be cool for 1v1’s

I’m interested on how to change the artwork in the main menu. I saw an image somewhere that has Cammy and Julia in the menu instead of Kazuya and Ryu.

Those are Juila and Cammy’s poses from the victory screen. So it’s might be possible using in-game assets

GFWL loads at the Title Screen, but Save Warning + Capcom/Dolby/Criware/Nvidia/Scaleform take considerable time and are annoying (especially the console save warning)

anyway, as for the bootleg rematch we have this line: EB_Battle,Transit,Next,EB_Lobby,FadeOut_Sumi,FadeIn_Black,Idle
"EB_Lobby" can be replaced with “EB_Versus” or “EB_Battle” for our bootleg auto-rematch function

i tried EB_StageSelect at first, but because the winner gets to pick the stage, player1 is swapped with player2 when player2 wins the match… so you end up playing with your opponent’s team and viceversa. it’s OK for mirror matches, but not for different teams

i didn’t get to test the other two settings, because i couldn’t find anyone with a wider attention span than a goldfish to try it out with… and people flee from this game like it’s the devil anyway even if they already own it (i understand them, the PC netcode is atrocious and makes the game untouchable)

My Steam client just downloaded it.

Update is out, however the DLC content is not currently up on the steam store.
